Our experience with Goway Travel Canada, specifically our travel agent Paula Williamson was excepcional. Our trip to the South Pacific, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand was catered to our needs. Hotels, flights, and proposed tours which were booked ahead of time by Paula were all hassle free and so so memorable. We thank Paula for all her efforts and her availability during the trip, whenever anything extra was needed.
I so recommend Goway Travel Canada and will definitely use them again.

We just returned from the trip of a lifetime to Egypt, the Red Sea and Dubai for our family of 9 (Grandparents, parents, and kids ages 4 to 20). We had a phenomenal experience planning our custom travel itinerary with the help of Meg!! She was very knowledgeable about the locations and provided great insight and suggestions for activities that the whole family would enjoy. The trip absolutely exceeded our expectations! Communication was excellent, all transfers, travel, and activities were on schedule, guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and activities were planned with exceptional companies. When our boat tour got overbooked and had to be rescheduled, Meg upgraded us to a private yacht instead!! We couldn’t be happier with our travel experience, their customer service is top notch! We definitely plan to use GoWay for our next adventure!

Accommodations, transportation and transfers for 5 fabulous nights in Italy. It was seamless! Being met at the airport in Venice, escorted to our private water taxi, then being walked to our hotel was absolutely stress free. Then off to Florence and Milan.

Did a trip to New Zealand with Goway. This was our fourth time using. While the majority of the trip was well done our hotel rooms were either not booked or in inferior hotel rooms. The service providers ie excursions were great but Goway really missed the mark on the hotel bookings.One room had no air conditioning and it was 34 Celsius in the room. The other rooms overlooked parking lots. We wanted a premium experience but our agent really missed the mark. This significantly took away from our trip. I emailed their Director Client Experience to voice my displeasure however 2 weeks later I have yet to hear any response.

Subsequent to discussions with Goway, they have responded to our concerns and apologized for the shortcomings on our trip. Their new director customer relations ( the previous director is no longer with them) was very empathetic to our issues and has set things right via their actions. From my perspective they will get another opportunity to provide us with travel arrangements on the basis that our previous 3 trips were fantastic with them. We’ll chalk this misfire as a one off lack of attention to detail by the person that dealt with our file.

Update: We asked if our deposit could be used as a credit toward a future trip. The company accepted to make our $600 deposit a credit which expires 12 months after the date of the original planned trip. Also, the VP reached out by email with an offer to help connect us with a more experienced planner for our next trip. I still think my original review raises valid observations but the approval of a credit and VP email are two (simple) steps that signal a good business (I added one star to this review and will update again after our next trip).
Original review: Take note of the terms and conditions: "deposits are non-refundable", "all prices are subject to change or surcharge", travel insurance is encouraged BUT: "all hospital and medical expenses are the traveler’s responsibility". "communications fee of $25 per change", "minimum administration fee of $50...".
Now our story: My wife and I began corresponding in good faith with a Goway agent. We compiled a general outline of a trip to Japan. There were issues: tours that started soon after the end of travel and empty days followed by back-to-back tours. Some elements were clearly in conflict due to overlapping times. We figured the agent was just applying minimal effort because we had not made a deposit yet. Once the quote was generated there was pressure to decide and make a deposit "before the 2025 prices take effect". That's a standard sales tactic but not demonstrably false. Anyhow, we made the deposit of $600 for two travelers so we could work out the itinerary and move ahead with our planning. The next version of the itinerary also included one conflicting overlap where a tour began before the end of the previous one. The tour descriptions included cautions that did not apply to the season we were traveling and one tour description warned that the market was usually closed on Wednesday, the exact day we were scheduled to go. These issues made us uneasy but I am sure that with enough time, deliberate cross referencing and double checking we could have produced a viable itinerary. I would not recommend that any traveler leave the planning to a Goway agent without a thorough review of all departure and arrival times, coordinating instructions and the rest. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our plans due to family circumstances and we lost our entire deposit. I am thankful we only lost $600. One observation is that the travel insurance looks superficial. It certainly would not have protected me and if we had paid the entire booking, we would be out of pocket a much larger amount.
My final note is that we used a Goway agent in 2016 to organize a 3-week trip to Australia. That trip was awesome. The agent was a good friend and extremely competent which certainly influenced the results. Next time I will probably skip the agent and do my own bookings so I have full knowledge of the cancelation conditions and I can use the travel insurance provided by my credit card. You do you, but read the fine print, double check and travel smart.

We did a 30-day get away to New Zealand and Australia. A bucket list trip! We enjoyed the entire trip, from hotels to excursions to the organization. Simply amazing....all made possible by the great work of Goway. More importantly, a few minor hiccups occurred, as they usually do...Dan Bell from Goway was over the top amazing making things better for us. How companies deal with hiccups is significantly more important than the actual hiccup itself. Thank you kindly Dan and Goway team! We will continue using Goway and recommend them.

I want to share the incredibly stressful experience I had during my trip to Cairo and Jordan, booked through Goway. I chose an expensive package expecting a seamless journey, but what I encountered was the complete opposite.

On November 8th, I arrived at the airport to catch my flight to Jordan, only to discover that Goway had failed to book the flight—even though I had paid for it well in advance and the itinerary they sent me stated it was confirmed. The check-in line was long, and after waiting patiently, we were told by the airline staff that our names weren’t in the system.

This was both embarrassing and deeply frustrating. We had to buy new plane tickets on the spot. When we tried to pay by credit card, the airline’s machine wasn’t working. Thankfully, we had just enough cash to cover the cost, but this cash was meant for other expenses, causing significant inconvenience. To make matters worse, the gate was about to close, and I had to run across the airport to make the flight.

When I contacted Goway about the issue, their response was deeply disappointing. I was passed off to a customer service representative overseas who showed no urgency or care in resolving the matter. Goway was quick to take my money when I booked, but when things went wrong, they were unwilling to take responsibility for making things right for the customer.

If you want a stressful trip and to deal with a company prioritizing profits over customer service, then book with Goway. Otherwise, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your travel plans.

Booking our honeymoon with goway (and specifically Melissa Lee) was our only wedding regret. Working with them was stressful in the lead up to the honeymoon, and when we arrived in Europe for our honeymoon it got even worse. Melissa was nearly impossible to reach during the planning process (it often took 4+ emails to get a response)and booking delays resulted in our flights costing $2000 more than initially quoted. When we arrived in Europe we found our hotel reservation had been cancelled by their agency two days prior. The information included in our itinerary was also incomplete or incorrect which caused us to miss out on major portions of our days while we contacted them to resolve.

Furthermore, Goway is not a traditional travel agent, they are a wholesaler. So there is no transparency in pricing and the middle-man booking relationship caused out to miss out on all benefits of booking through our own cards (as we have done with other agents). If this had been communicated to us during booking when we asked that question we would have chosen another agency. We also found that the price we paid to goway for many of the reservations was higher than what we would have paid if we booked them ourselves.

I would caution anyone against using goway. It has been the biggest regret of our wedding planning process.
