Absolutely appalling service at Gold Leaf Insurance in Surrey – avoid this place like the plague if you value your time, sanity, and basic common sense! I went in to simply transfer my insurance to a new vehicle I just purchased, a straightforward process I've done multiple times elsewhere without a hitch. But these so-called "professionals" turned it into a nightmare over the most ridiculous nitpick: the signature on the vehicle's registration didn't "exactly" match the one on the transfer form.

Newsflash, Gold Leaf: Signatures evolve over time! The registration could be from years ago, and no reasonable person expects a pixel-perfect match after that long. I've never encountered this absurd level of pedantry at any other insurance provider – it's clearly just an excuse for incompetence or laziness. To make matters worse, I handed them the seller's phone number on a silver platter so they could verify anything they needed, but they claimed they "couldn't get a hold of him" and flat-out refused to proceed. Refused! As if that's an acceptable reason to deny service to a paying customer who's done everything right.

This isn't customer service; it's bureaucratic gatekeeping at its worst. They wasted my afternoon, left me scrambling for alternatives, and showed zero flexibility or problem-solving skills. If this is how they handle a simple transfer, I shudder to think how they'd manage an actual claim. Do yourself a favor and take your business anywhere else – Gold Leaf doesn't deserve yours. One star is generous; zero would be more accurate.
