Took my (deceased) Mother's taxes in. Had to make an apointment to bring the papers ,that I can understand but not only would they tell mell how much she was getting back but wanted me to schedule another apointment to pick up her completed return. When I questioned why do I need another apointment to pick up which would take a matter of 2 minutes he replied it was there policy.Interesting they would tell me the fee for doing this but not the amount of return. They have all death certificates required.

My husband’s mom passed away and she had always had her taxes done here, so when it came to doing her last taxes it seemed like a good idea to do them there. We placed our trust in them during this very difficult time and it’s been a huge mess. We took the info given and went to the bank to pay the tens of thousands owed and then this year we get a bill with an additional 8 thousand dollars owing in late fees. Theresa said she would fix this and that they would pay the extra fees. Now we have called several times and she doesn’t return the calls. How can a company do this and still be able to be in business.

Be careful please. If they get your taxes wrong they will not make it right to you. They have not returned my phone calls. They forgot to file one of my T4 slips so when I got rerouted it two years later I now owe to 2000 dollars.

Incompetent, with a total lack of accountability for their mistakes. NOT BBB accredited. NOT members of the Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Do not use this business to prepare your income tax. They are completely incompetent. And take NO responsibility for their errors...."sorry about that" is all you will get when the CRA comes calling.

I have been working with Teresa since 2017. She consistently goes above and beyond to not only file my taxes but explaining the filing as well. My whole familiar uses her. I would recommend this company to absolutely everyone. Whether self employed, FT employed and everything in between. You will be in good hands!

I would not recommend this place! We usually do our taxes ourselves, however we used this place this year as we had moving expenses to claim and did not want to mess up, so we thought why not pay a professional to do this correctly. I organized all the information required, highlighted the areas/amounts that needed to be inputted to make it easier for them. It took two weeks for them to complete this and "have someone check over it to ensure no mistakes". When my husband went in once they were complete, the amount didn't add up as to what we were getting on the Turbo Tax website. It turns out that they miscalculated expenses and didn't enter all the expenses that were highlighted. We asked about claiming a certain expense in our moving expenses and the tax accountant/professional did not know the answer to our question. So, we asked other tax accountant/professionals that are family friends and read more about claiming this expense on the Canadian government website and news articles and the answer is yes, we could. However, this lady said she couldn't find an answer online (eye roll). Here we are 5 months later, we are being audited for our moving expenses. So while gathering all the information and documents required, I realized that they inputted an amount incorrectly (about a $800 difference). We did not catch this error after the second time meeting with them after they "fixed" their errors the first time, but I would imagine if a second person reviewed the first persons work to "ensure no mistakes" they would've caught it. We should have either done it ourselves or looked elsewhere and saved this headache, it has not been worth it.

Please look for other people that knows how to do tax to help you especially if you are an international student.
They are incompetent or maybe don’t know how to file tax for newcomers.
This is July and people I introduced to them still haven’t gotten their tax refund despite filing since February.

similar to the prior review I had normally filed my own taxes each year however had decided to buy back multiple years of service to my pension and decided to use a tax service to avoid the risk of filing it incorrectly.

I have been following up on a tax return processed for the year of 2018. 2 mistakes were made on this file which first resulted in me having received a refund then having to pay it back and upon review by EFS they found the government actually owes me over $2000. Fast forward almost 3 years now, upon multiple follow ups, the answer I continue to get is that they will call CRA but there is never any follow up. I am still waiting for my refund and keep getting brushed aside by this tax service... Through this pandemic, those funds would have been very helpful.
