Review

2 stars place, warn out therefore didn’t have high expectations. Service was strange and we recommend keeping an eye on all the damages and the cleanliness upon the arrival-inform the host about them upfront! The host charged us for already existing damages and for cleaning of the dirty dishes which we didn’t use. the cottage was provided with dirty pans and the host at the end charged a fee for the cleaning of pans which were dirty and we didn’t use. The host didn’t even bother to follow up as I think as we are from Europe she doesn’t care much about customers who don’t return

Retrospectively the host charged our card for already existing damages and for cleaning of the dirty dishes which we didn’t use. the cottage was provided with dirty pans and the host at the end charged us for the cleaning of pans. She never acknowledges the unfair charge! Be careful!

Gayle was able to accommodate us on a very busy weekend, and let us rent her sea kayaks with only one day notice. It is a beautiful spot, and she was very helpful in guiding us on where to kayak in the 1000 Islands. Will definitely be back!

Accommodations are very clean, reasonably spacious, and well maintained. Owner is friendly and attentive. Privacy without isolation. Cottages right on the edge of the St. Lawrence River, at a marshy area - can see lots of birds and wildlife right from the cottage, can see the tour boats way off in the distance. Fire pit for each cottage.

We've been coming to Misty Isles Lodge for over 15 years now. First just my wife and I, then with the kids. This is one of the most beautiful spots on the river. Gayle, our Hostess has become a close friend. So while this may seem like a biased review, I can tell you that if it wasn't a great place to stay and if the staff weren't the friendliest people ever, we would not have been back so many times. Highly recommended! Not a luxury resort, but better than sleeping in a tent....LOL. Oh wait! You can do that too if you want. There's a wide range of amenities and room types. From efficiency rooms to a 2 bedroom cottage and everything in between. Plus they have a park for travel trailers and a camping area for the peeps who like to rough it. There's also boat rentals, kayak rentals and tours, a small beach for the kids to play in the water and fire pits for that evening fire.
