After a good experience with Corey in 2018, purchasing my first home, contacting him to purchase my second & sell my first (in that order) was the most disappointing experience.

His communication was spotty at best. I asked for viewings on Thursday or Friday & heard nothing from him until late Friday, saying he was ill. I ask him to arrange showings for Monday morning if possible. I do not hear from him.

Sunday my son has a seizure. He is transported to Regina by ambulance at 10:30 at night.

I emailed Corey.

I heard nothing.

I emailed him again.

He finally replied & asked that we get pre approved before moving forward as well as for the end of March, as we no longer had time to get things sorted officially before my co-owner left for a cruise.

The market here is hot. Things are moving quickly. We have enough cash reserves to pay off the mortgage on my first house & buy the new one, though we would likely be wanting a mortgage.

Keep in mind, my 6 year old son is in hospital, with unexplained seizures, over 150km from home. I have done everything I can to be courteous & considerate of Corey’s time, given the circumstances, including emailing him from the ambulance to cancel showings the next day that I don’t believe he ever booked.

Not once in the two emails he sent after that did he say he was sorry to hear about my son or that he hoped he got better soon. Call my old fashioned, but if someone tells me their small child is seriously ill, I’m going to ask how they are doing & send my best wishes for their health.

Financially, this was at least one guaranteed commission on the purchase of a new home. Even if he didn’t want to list my first home, which we planned to have a major clean, as well as minor repairs & paint done prior to listing, & our budget had nearly doubled.

I thought at the very least I’d hear back him at the end of March, when my co-owner was back in the country.

I never have & have never been so disappointed after an initially positive experience.

It is shameful that this agency states on its website that it provides its clients with the highest level of business standard, serving you with knowledge, professionalism, trust, integrity and skill. Their CEO, Corey Werner failed at all of these claims. I question how you can then lead a team? We have a property in Yorkton that needs to be sold. I spoke with Corey who agreed to provide a fair market value in an acceptable amount of time. I followed up when I had not received it in that time frame. He told me he needed more time to get it done. He misled me to believe that he was trustworthy, professional and had integrity. It has been weeks and I have not heard back from him.........

We have had a very disappointing experience. We required an appraisal and were told it would be done the following week. Our initial call was on June 22nd. Three weeks later, we have nothing and Corey has not been returning our calls. We have wasted three weeks and are going with a different firm. We would not recommend this company.
