My son had an accident back in November, and we were getting nowhere with several questions that we had. That was until I spoke with Catherine Arseneau from the Kanata office. Catherine answered all of my questions, made the necessary changes to my account, processed a refund, and provided me with new quotes with one easy phone call. She followed up with an email and a phone call to ensure I was completely satisfied. As a lifelong Co-Operators customer, I was questioning my continued relationship with the Co-Operators, but that all changed as a result of my interactions with Catherine. So disappointed. Been a loyal customer for 12 years. Got a new car, took 7 calls to try and get the insurance changed from my previous one to the new one. Finally I had to work with the call center because my office is never available. It seemed to have been a good alternative even though it's not the personal attention I am used to. Turns out my vehicle is ready a day early so I tried to call to get my insurance a day early. Well guess what; Nope. Because I dealt with the call center it is locked in. They are sorry of course but hey....too bad for me. They just don't care. Time to start shopping for an insurance that does I guess.

Be aware they never call you back while they said they will. It happend to me 2 times in a row

I called them back to February for a rental quote and was surely told rental alone home insurance they are able to do it. Their response was fast by then

I then reached them on Monday sep 14 for a quote, I emailed them early morning then called them on Monday afternoon was told they would call me back on Tuesday morning. They told me rental would take longer time for quoting. I agreed and natively waited

Tuesday nothing. No phone call no email on quote. I had called them in the afternoon around 2:45 , i pointed out that I sent email and I was put on hold for 5 mins , 5 mins later I was told they would callbacks tomorrow (Wednesday again they said they would call back tomorrow). I believed in them Again and kept dreaming they would call and email me on wed.

Wednesday until 11 am still nothing so I called them again and now this time after 4 mins on hold was told that they didn’t do rental quote unless I moved all my other properties over. I told them head office of cooperators suggested me to call local office for rental quote and I also had email history showing they do rental quote only. This lady named Lauren kept denying and kept interrupting when I was talking.

Very rude and unprofessional. I believe them they would call back but phones got ghosted. So did email

Will sure file a cooperation complaint. Wasting my time!

Nobody ever answers. The phone always goes to a call centre. need to talk to somebody from there office apparently has changed hands not the same service.
