Please take the time to read my review, and re think about becoming a member here. It has taken me a long time to leave this review but I think back on this situation often and am now finally speaking up in hopes to help others. My grandfather was a member of this credit union for years and kept a large amount of money with them, come late 2022 my grandfather started having memory issues he even lost his license and really starting losing all independence. Late 2022 to Early 2023 he started taking out thousands of dollars here and there out of his account from Community Savings and not knowing what he did with it, he would express this concern to me he also couldn’t even remember how he arrived to community savings.. and unfortunately we had family members who would take mental and financial advantage of my grandfather. I would go to visit my grandfather and he would say things like “I just lost 1500$” and he would be very sad and very confused. My grandfathers financial Power of Attorney was a long time friend and his grandsons aunt (grandpas daughter in laws sister). Everything was done legally so when and if this forgetful time came Grandpa knew he would be protected. Not the case with Community Savings.. When POA stepped in we had a meeting set up to show legal paperwork and set in place that he wasn’t in his right mind to be making financial decisions. I was there because I knew everything about my Grandpa, what accounts he had, etc. Basically I was just POAs assistant and wanted to make sure everything was done correctly and to my grandpa’s wants and wish’s. When myself and POA arrived at meeting scheduled with Community Savings we showed up to the meeting being canceled and were told my Grandpa was in location and possibly signed something with a different family member… this family member was known to take financial abuse so this was very scary and concerning. (keep in mind me and POA had to take time off work to be at this meeting that got cancelled with no notice). This day 3-4 bank tellers were yelling at me that my grandpa was fine, and that he can make his own decisions… and basically that there’s nothing we can do. After giving community savings legal paperwork about POA & Drs note that grandpa was in no condition to be making financial decisions, community savings wanted to take this to counsel.. Grandpa’s lawyers couldn’t believe it… Weeks later my grandpa was sadly hospitalized and passed a couple short months after due to a brain tumor. So thank you to the tellers who told me he was fine… you really knew what was “going on” I will never forget you telling me my grandfather was fine when he was not and as if you knew him. Anyways I wanted to give some back story here to really warn people about where they are keeping there money, and that if something happens they may not be protected even with legal action. This situation disgusts me and it was a very errie feeling to have tellers yell at me as if it was all their business to begin with and it made it seem like they were all talking about the situation amongst theirselves which is very unprofessional and disgusting behavior. All the stuff at community saving credit union in Poco are amazing. We have been with them for over a decade both with our small business and personal accounts as well. They are very welcoming and are always happy to help in any way they can. I have been using my picture deposit for my business that I love for the convenience of not having to go to the brunch and it works great.
Thelma just helped us with a wire transfer to a different province that could have been tricky but she made everything go very smoothly. We are very appreciative for all their help over the years. Thanks so much.

When I went there the bank teller, Parastesh Afzali, was extremely professional and courteous, She provided me all the information which i asked for and ensured everything was perfectly in order. This visit reinforced my trust in this bank's exceptional service and reliability. I wholeheartedly recommend this bank for its professionalism and trustworthiness.

This bank provides an excellent customer experience on every visit. I have been a customer for many years. The level of service has always been top notch. They are a full service institution and I have not found a service they cannot provide. At the larger institution I leave feeling like I'm an opportunity for them to charge excess fees. The Community and Credit Union's full service package, at a reasonable cost, eliminates this feeling . The type of service they provide is getting harder to find.

I had a terrible experience at this bank. When I went to deposit my money, the bank teller, Parastesh Afzali, kept it and did not give me back the money or even a receipt. Her manager was involved and didn't care about the situation. Finally, I had to call the police to prepare a report that showed I had deposited the money. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I highly recommend avoiding this bank.
