really wonderful experience! ken made booking so easy and he was extremely hospitable, the hemlock hideaway was the perfect getaway for our group. the property was well kept, supplied with cozy linens, comfortable beds and the most spectacular view! definitely will be visiting again😊

We had an amazing and restful stay at Hemlock Hideaway during the holidays! We especially loved the wood-burning fireplace and sauna. Our dog Charlie really enjoyed the spacious backyard. The location was perfect as it was lakefront, felt private enough yet
only a 5 min drive into the town of Minden for any last minute needs! Ken was also super communicative and responds immediately.

Such a beautiful getaway on stunning property.
The view of the lake from the cottage provides much-needed serenity!
The cottage is beautifully decorated and so inviting.
If that wasn't enough the outdoor sauna ensures your stay is relaxing!
Ken was just always a phone call away...not that we needed to reach him as everything we needed (besides our food and drinks) was provided.
We absolutely will be back!

We just spent a week at Hemlock Hideaway and had a blast!
The house is welcoming and cozy and the view of the lake is spectacular....we felt like royalty having all the conveniences of home and a lake right outside the back door! The deck off the kitchen is comfy and perfect for sipping a cold drink before dinner while barbequing. We were snug as a bug in a rug in the comfortable beds and appreciated the quality linens and towels provided. So much attention to detail shows the host really cares about guest comfort....night lights strategically placed throughout; a charging station for our electronic devices; great internet so although we were on vacation, we still felt connected with the rest of the world; and even a clothesline with clothes pegs for wet bathing suits and beach towels. We didn't lack for anything. The lake is calm and perfect for kayaking...we took care not to disturb the turtles we saw sunbathing!
Ken was a great host. He gave us great information on the Minden and Haliburton areas and we really enjoyed exploring an area we had never before visited.
In short....thanks to Ken and his team.....we truly felt we had a fabulous vacation and are already thinking about next year!

Hemlock Hideaway is a gem of a spot. A peaceful getaway with gorgeous views of the lake. A cozy relaxing vibe inside and the barrel sauna is such a treat! The host is alway prompt with replies and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

I recently had the opportunity to see one of there beautiful properties near minden, Ken is very easy-going great guy to deal with. If you looking for a weekend getaway definitely the right guy to talk to!
