Accueil familial dans une très grande demeure du début du 19ième siècle, mais dont le système électrique répond aux besoins d'aujourd'hui. Nous y sommes passés 3 jours. C'est généralement peu occupé la semaine. C'est confortable, accueillant, mais surtout la maison vaut le séjour. Outre de grandes chambres, la maison, sur trois étages, a des vitraux, des meubles d'époque, d'immenses corridors, une véranda vitrée. Nous avons découvert une maison atypique mais superbe, effectivement ancrée dans un autre siècle, si ce n'est qu'elle est pourvue de tout le confort nécessaire (y compris la musique d'ambiance pour "casser" cette atmosphère de manoir hanté).||Nos hôtes se sont avérés prévoyants et sympathiques.||Petite formalité pour le petit déjeuner: devoir signaler la veille ce que vous voulez manger, ce qui complique la vie des indécis... Mais nous n'avons pas du tout regretté nos choix: le petit déjeuner est copieux, frais et original.||Nous avons logé dans la chambre Windsor, confortable et calme. Petit bémol pour l'air conditionné ancré dans la fenêtre ouverte et qui ne permet pas de bien fermer les volets.

This lovely bed and breakfast was a joy to visit. The hallways and common rooms were filled to the brim with amazing antiques and other items. The rooms were spacious and simple with plenty of shelves and storage space.

This house is amazing: decorated with great and accurate taste. It was like stepping back in 1900.
The breakfast was delicious and the portion were generous.
Entertaining host with great stories to tell.

I stayed with a friend. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! We took advantage of the taxi voucher to go for diner in Windsor. It made for a great visit. The house is beautiful, filled with period furniture. While it looked lovely it wasn’t the most comfy for enjoying the common space.

Last evening we stayed in the place where we were married ... The Clockmaker's Inn in Windsor, Nova Scotia. The room was beautiful, the bed was fabulous, the air conditioning was more than appreciated, then came the piece de resistance, breakfast .... I had pancakes, hash browns, sausage, fruit, juice & coffee. My partner had French toast, hash browns, bacon, fruit, juice and coffee. It was more than we could both eat !! Debbie & Rick (the owners) and Karen were the perfect hosts. Lastly, not that's it's not worth far more, it is the least expensive accommodation (save an Air BnB room in a stranger's house, not my cup of tea) in West Hants, even with modest price increase coming September 1... My recommendation, if you want more value for your dollar than you ever thought possible ... this is the place! The bonus is the beauty of the large Victorian historical home, lovely veranda with surrounding gardens. Plus, I apparently think it's a great place for a wedding!

This is a very special house that is full of historic charm. We were fine with the self check in and being told that the house is haunted. Rick tries to be funny with his jokes. The breakfast is delicious and Debbie does a great job with that. ||The only real issue we had was that the house is not clean. It’s tidy but needs some serious TLC. I can’t believe they expect one person to clean the entire place, in addition to all the other duties. The white duvet cover was covered with pet fur. The bathroom door was thick with dust and dirt. The tv had dirty finger prints on the screen. We kept saying that the room was fine as long as we didn’t look at anything closely (but it’s hard not to notice these things). We have stayed here two times and would again but the lack of cleanliness does take away from the experience and the beauty and grandeur of this property.
