For the depression that a hospital generally radiates, the staff here are so cheerful. Kudos to all the hardwork they do to keep the community safe and the spirits high.
Lovely staff at the maternity ward. Made our stay and the whole process so much smooth.
If i were to pick any areas for improvement, it would definitely be
- Dedicated parking for maternity patients - is a pain finding a spot when it's just you and your partner and you need to rush in with them or park overnight and can't really come out to change spots.
- The food - pretty bland, but there was sufficient quantity and variety, just that it was not appetizing
- Smoking right next to the entrance - was a big let down that they allowed smoking and controlled substance use so close to the entrance of a hospital.

Pleasantly surprised that they offered literally everything A-Z for the new born and mum and you didn't have to carry anything except your Service BC card.

That aside, absolute bliss. Nothing less than a 3* hotel stay it was.

All the love and support to the wonderful staff ?❤️

Thank you for being here for us the community. Family is very blessed for all your services. My love had 2 surgeries in your hospital and wow they went great. Unbelievable. We had our 4 children here and this was perfect. Thank you for dealing with all the humans of hometown Chilliwack we couldn't survive without you. Some days may be longer wait some days may be shorter this depends on emergencies and doctors and such which is uncontrollable. Some times when needed to go I do not like the people being so angry at the staff I actually tell them to stop. Again thank you so much the staff of Chilliwack Hospital.

The moment we entered the lobby we felt a welcoming atmosphere. A volunteer approached us and kindly showed us the way to the elevator. Staff we passed in the hallways smiled and said "Good Morning" Everyone we encountered during my outpatient surgery introduced themselves and were both friendly and professional. We were back in our car and on our way within an hour. It is obvious the administration of this hospital takes patient care very seriously Thank-you

I only visited the CGH twice, one time in the emergency and other in the surgery unit. The staff, nurses, doctors were all great and really supportive. Special shoutout to the registered nurse Nancy who was there for us the entire time and Dr. Smith for his understanding and knowledge. Really appreciate all the help.

Had a pretty good experience in the maternity unit, the nurses were very helpful and answered a lot of questions, we had a midwife so she did a lot of the work but the nurses were great support and looked after us while we were there for 2 days. I gotta say once I was shown how the sleeper chairs work I was really comfortable and was happy about the little sleep I got while here. The view from our room was more than you could ask for, the building is a little outdated but all the equipment looked in good working order. Though I do feel this among other hospitals in the Fraser Valley are under funded and are doing an excellent job with what they have. Thank you to all the nurses in the maternity unit, keep up the good work!

The level of care in any canadian hospital is a joke. I'd rather be bankrupt after the doctor visit and be fixed rather than get a free 8 hour wait in a room of strangers with no actual medical care. Canadian health care services are pathetic.

Spent allot of time in the chilliwack hospital because of having a large family and having to translate for them. When I was young the hospital used to have good care but now it’s horrible on all aspects. It’s dirty, as in I’ve been here many times this year and sat here for hours and never seen anyone clean anything. Garbage sits in the waiting rooms for hours. The wait times are horrendous, even when my boyfriend ran his hand through a rebar bender at work we still were there for hours. We knew the nurses felt bad for us because he was sitting there with and open wound for so long. Most of the time the doctors will turn you away multiple times before they take your seriously and one time they even argued with us when my friend cracked their ribs and we wanted a note to take some time from work to heal.

The worst part for me, is the fact that there were dirty tissues and garbage on the chairs in the waiting room so people were avoiding sitting on them. I went to the triage and asked them to call someone to clean it and we waited for an hour till someone did. Then, the lady only picked up the tissues and wiped down my chair and one other chair. I had to tell her to come back and clean the rest for the other people. On top of that the floors are disgusting, when there’s blood and faeces on the floors they just wipe it up with a napkin. The marks are always left behind and it’s so clear as you stare at the floor.

Updated EDIT, I wrote this while I was waiting in the hospital since I clearly had the time. I went into the washroom to go wash my hands and the floor was wet, I looked down and realized I was stepping in urine. There’s literally a puddle of pee on the bathroom floor. I told the nurse, and once again nothing has been done... this place is actually the worst place I’ve seen when it comes to cleaning.
