The lake has two parts if separated from the bridge. One side you can have quietness while the other side has more children. Overall a great place to enjoy water activities in summer.

It’s a free entry whether you are Chestermere residence or not. Such a beautiful lake to relax with kids and family. Very clean!

Went on a hike trail loop around the entirety of Chestermere Lake. I started from the Chestermere Rec Center Parking lot and went past the construction area having a good sight of the lake. It was about 12.8KM walk and I loved every bit of it. Thankful, there were no mosquitoes this time compared to summer time. Went past some play ground where kids can also have a nice time. Also passed by the Public Library. It’s a beautiful community.

A popular tourist destination for a family with kids during summertime. Kids love to play with sand, and this place has it all. The beach is cold even during summer, and kids need lifevest and supervision if they want to swim. I like that this place is free, bring your mattress and your food, and spend a whole day there, and your day will be perfect. Only 40 minutes driving from Calgary. Highly recommended !!
