I am trying to reach out to these people in regards to my auto loan payment. My cheque is on hold from bank due to some issues and every time i reach out to someone or visit a branch there is no one to help. They just keep on providing different customer service numbers- no advisor, no human being in person to help me clear the cheque and make the payment. The customer service keep on providing random emails from which I never get a response back. It is impossible to get hold of these people. How come they are helping in financing vehicle when there is no one to help settle down the loan. This is so annoying to deal with this financial institution. They take no responsibility towards their customers.

Terrible experience with the call center. Customer service is unhelpful and repeatedly disconnects calls without resolving the issue. Even if you live out of province, they expect you to fly to Ontario just to verify your identity, because their only method of verification is by calling you. Over the course of three days, I spoke with 10 different representatives—spending over 5 hours on the phone each day—and every single one either hung up or told me they couldn’t help. My account was locked simply because I missed a phone call from them, and they showed no concern about the consequences, such as bounced pre-authorized payments or account access. Overall, the service is unacceptable—they seem more interested in ending calls than solving problems.

This review is mainly regarding the service I received from Julie Whately. She is a breath of fresh air when dealing with insurance companies. My experience with the claims department was horrible and she stepped in and got ahold of the right people and in the same day. She managed to obtain the information I needed from a 3rd party source because the claims department was not reachable whatsoever and she worked her magic. My issue was urgent and she was able to come through like a superstar by using her knowledge and expertise and thought outside of the box. Her service is priceless, she is sincere, understands the urgency and acts right away to resolve the issue. I absolutely loved dealing with her. The insurance industry needs more service like this.

I have nothing positive to say about my experience with claims and Kayleigh Le Gresley and her lack of communication and reachability in general. Other agents I spoke to said they were not authorized to help me and therefore I had to wait for 5 days to receive a response while I was paying per day to have my car at the mechanic. There should be way more available and authorized agents. Hold times are horrible and service with claims is horrible. It feels like you are actually throwing money in the garbage on purpose.

The mechanic my car was brought to couldn't open my hood which I had to do myself. They deemed my car salvage without the option of a buy back due to safety issues. The only damage was my bumper and rad support. They offered me 2K for the car. My car was being sold for approx. 6K online and when I showed them several posts they agreed to have it fixed for 2.5K when originally they said it wasn't safe for the road anymore. This makes me believe that they opted out for the cheaper solution and I feel lied to and taken advantage of. The accident and repair process took 4 weeks and I was only entitled to 1 week of a car rental. I was without a car for 3 weeks. What is the point of insurance? I was promised that they would have my car back on the road, but failed to mention that they do not cover any costs for reports, i.e. structural reports or safety - not sure if this is across the board for all insurance companies. That was an additional thousand dollars out of pocket and costs for a rental car.

This is my first time putting in a claim in the 18 years I have been driving and paying insurance (also deemed not at fault). The service and solution from claims was horrible. Still dealing with this issue 5 months later. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted that the government doesn't step in to regulate this system.

Again, the best part of this was my rep, Julie, she was absolutely wonderful throughout the process and got things done ASAP.

This is one of the worst insurance companies out there. The insurance agents and underwriting staff are some of the worst people you can talk to. Unprofessional and unhelpful. I don't know how such companies operate in this country!

The WORST customer service ever!! I have scheduled 3 appointments till now with Mississauga branch to open up an account with them and every time, I was scheduled with someone from a different far away branch. They call me and tell me they cannot open an account because I don't live closer to their branch. How does a bank full of professionals mess up my appointment location 3 times, I don't understand. After following up many times, they said they were going to schedule with the correct person but never heard back from them. I guess they don't want any more customers for them. If I'm having so much trouble just scheduling an appointment, I can't imagine the customer service they will provide after I get an account (if ever) with them. I have invested several hours with them and got nothing out of it.
Definitely NOT making this my bank and wasting any more time.

worst experience ever. As an international student opened GIC account but study permit was refused. I am trying to close the account and to get the refund of my 10000 CAD but they do not reply emails or answer phone calls. Its going on since months.

***BEWARE*** if you have, or is considering a mortgage/loan with this bank, think twice. They will charge you NSF fees, threaten to lower your credit score, and blame you/others although you have clearly made proper on-time payments. To have this corrected, I had to speak and explain this to 4 different telephone agents, got the run-around and eventually had to make an in-person appointment with this branch to get them to fix their own mistakes. Get a loan from Desjardins if you like to have extra stress, aggravation, and time wasted.

The company itself takes, a great amount of time to accomplish any task. The call center agents have no sense of urgancy, they also encurage you to find other insurance companies, the employees within the actual building are the only highlight, theyre friendly and attentive, everything else is a train wreak, the company as a whole needs to train their employees better and have a better system in place to help customers.
- i am open to change my opinion about this company if some changes are made.
