An Exceptional Place to Learn and Connect through French Culture!

The Centre culturel francophone de l’Okanagan is truly a gem in Kelowna. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth, professionalism, and welcoming spirit that make this place so special.

Madame Sanaa is an incredibly kind and helpful person who ensures everything at the Centre runs smoothly. She is always welcoming, approachable, and ready to assist whenever you need any information. Her professionalism and the way she manages the Centre reflect her passion for promoting French culture and community. I am truly happy she is there leading everything with such grace and excellence.

Madame Ludi, my French teacher (and my favorite teacher), is simply amazing. She is a phenomenal and professional teacher with an inspiring approach to teaching. Learning French with her is truly a blessing! She makes every class engaging, ensures everyone understands before moving on, and always answers questions with patience and enthusiasm. Her dedication and joyful teaching style have made my French-learning journey both effective and enjoyable.

Monsieur Thomas is also a wonderful teacher and a true gentleman. He is always available to help during group study sessions, ready to explain and guide you patiently until you fully understand. His kind nature and clear explanations make learning French much easier and more enjoyable.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found such an amazing team at this Centre. The environment is positive, professional, and supportive. The perfect place to learn French at any level. I highly recommend the Centre culturel francophone de l’Okanagan to anyone who wants to learn French and experience the best of francophone culture right here in Kelowna!

A year ago, I began my very first French class at the CCFO, beginner level A1.1, with teacher Lucie Perroudon from France. I absolutely loved attending her class because of her interaction and enthusiasm! On the very first day, she explained how much progress we could make through independent learning, which motivated me so much.

She was very encouraging, and shared practical tips to prepare for the TEF, which was my ultimate goal.

I didn’t expect to advance so quickly, but I worked very hard on my own. I also attended CCFO events to become more familiar with the French accent, which helped a lot. Exactly one year later, I received my results and achieved CLB 6 & 7!!!

I would especially like to thank my teacher, Lucie Perroudon. Despite her busy schedule, she always made time to chat with me and give me guidance. Sometimes, just hearing her confidence and reassurance that I was very close and capable of succeeding gave me the motivation I needed.

I attended a weekly level A1.2 summer course at CCFO and had a wonderful experience. The teachers and staff are always friendly and welcoming, and they make learning french fun! The CCFO also puts on lots of events like game nights and outdoor activities to practice french and meet other folks learning the language. I would highly recommend the CCFO, I've already signed up for my next class!

I started French classes exactly a year ago. My first teacher was Lucie, who taught me all the basics using the A1 book. She was always encouraging and shared great tips to help me learn quickly and reach my goals for the TEF exam.

Then, I continued with Eugénie for the A2 level. She is an incredible teacher, very structured, professional, and always motivating. Her teaching style helped me stay focused and progress with confidence.

Today, I received my TEF results and I’m proud to say I achieved CLB 5 and 6 in all sections. I truly want to thank both of them : without their support, I don’t believe I’d be in the position to apply through La Mobilité Francophone today.

On many occasions, they even took the time outside of class to answer my questions. We stayed in touch via messages, and it was clear they genuinely care about their students.

Thanks to them, I’ve fallen in love with the French language. Even though I reached my goal quickly, I’ll definitely continue learning at CCFO.
