All staff enjoy abusing and belittling clients and when you do not throw a tantrum like they want and just walk away then they gang up on you to attempt to get you to RE-ACT as they expect and will threaten your space untill you do

Went to Bryce unit 2 times and the mental health ward once on mental health ward was in the solitary confinement for 4 day with drs checking on me 1 time a day and sometimes forgetting meals. Bryce unit has the worst staff as well the Manager of unit I believe he was cursed me out for having a panic attack in the common area and the wait for it…proceeded to kick me out of the program hey but at least he had the decency to get me a taxi home right…worst place on earth do not send your kids here do not send your partners here do not send anybody here there should be a full on investigation in to this place if you ask me they have no respect for patients nor do they care. Just there for a pay check…

Edit remember this sick man’s name…Kelly on Bryce unit.. do not speak to him if you are in crisis and if you are do not let him see it or there’s the door

I know someone who has been in and out of this place numerous times. It's awful and ineffective. The nurses take your blood pressure and that's it. Not much other help is offered. He didn't go outside for 9 solid days.
Last time he had a mental health crisis he went to a place in Calgary and it's a night and day difference. He is so much better now and was there for far less time!
This place needs to step it up! The staff is rude and entitled and unhelpful. The morale is very poor. I have nothing good to say about this place or the people who work here. If you ask me, a complete staff over-haul is needed!
Nice facility.

This place ruined my life. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to have to put in this facility. I was depressed while being in here and they didn’t care to try and sit down and talk to me! They prescribed me hard drugs that I had to go into another hospital to withdraw from since they made me worse.

Very rude staff. One lady yelled at me when I was taking a nap. When I got discharged they prescribed the medication I needed to the wrong pharmacy and the nurse was very rude when she got called out for her mistake that I wasn’t being rude to her about.

I would avoid being put in here for “treatment”.

I'm autistic and am an ambulatory wheelchair user. I also have several other diagnosed medical conditions. I ended up in one of the acute psychiatric units after a mental health crisis. The way they treated me here was nothing short of torture. If you have a disability or chronic illness of any kind, try your best to stay away from this hospital. If you do end up here, I'm so sorry. Please try your best not to let them get to your head and stay in your room as much as possible. Stay safe and remember that you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness and anything they say about you or do to you here isn't your fault.

This facility & all other facilities in ALBERTA maintained the harsh COVID LOCKDOWN RULES even after COVID was over with. You are LOCKED DOWN 24/7 in the WARD you are assigned to when you enter into this facility & it's absolute fascism/tyranny. GO BACK to PRE-COVID RULES now!!!!! I had AMNESIA for 17 years & I need a place where I can TRUST for treatment, where I can go for walks and for arts/crafts throughout the day.

COVID RULES LOCKED DOWN is so convenient for the NURSES & STAFF only!!! What a betrayal against the people like myself who need TREATMENT from time to time!!!

I expect a response from the CENTENNIAL CENTRE regarding this post!!! Why are you still in 24/7 LOCKDOWN all these years after COVID ENDED You know this is the TRUTH & my comment above is based in fact!

This facility is very clean and has nice living spaces but their approach to rehabilitation is a big harsh. My mother had suffered a brain aneurysm and was sent here as we heard it was a good facility. They told her she would never walk again, and they were very tough on her which didn't help. After she left here she went to the Fanning center in calgary and was walking within a week.
