I would avoid this one unless you have no other options. We booked here after seeing all the glowing positive reviews, which we now suspect are fake or paid. Everything is really old, run-down, and poorly maintained. There was a big crack under the door, which had no secondary lock or chain for security. The window wouldn't close and latch (I had to go outside and push it closed). The beds were uncomfortable, saggy, squeaked with every little movement, and had old brown bedspreads that look like they were last replaced in the 1970s and didn't smell great. The blanket underneath was paper-thin. The sheets and towels seemed clean, but the carpets were very old and stained. The lamps were old and dim, and there was a bare florescent bulb over the kitchen sink. No electrical plug in the bathroom, so my wife had to dry her hair in the kitchen with no mirror. No bathroom fan. The walls were thin and we could hear the people next to us talking at normal volume. All this for $169; VERY overpriced for what you [don't] get. After a long day of driving, we were disappointed and didn't sleep well, and I had to apologize profusely to my wife for the poor choice. Stay elsewhere or keep driving.

These great little cabins are conveniently located at a great price!

We rented two rooms for the night for two adults with two dogs. Prices were comparable. However, the owner was super friendly and waved the pet fees, since we got two rooms, which made the total cost even more reasonable!

The main motel places down the road were sold out for so early in the day. I am so thankful we stopped here first and would recommend you do the same.

BTW, there’s some great areas down the road for running your dogs and down miss the road sign forest!

We were driving through Watson Lake at 1 AM and needed a place to crash. I called Cedar Lodge, and Peter kindly stayed up to wait for us — amazing hospitality! The room was clean, cozy, comfy, pet-friendly, and had good WiFi. Great stop for travelers — would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed here after a solo long drive of 9 hrs on the road. Was a much needed respite! Very cute rustic cabins with basic accommodations. Best night of sleep I had the whole trip of 8 days on the road!!

If you need a place to crash for the night on your way along the ALCAN and you’re in this area, it’s a great stop to stop. Called Peter 4 hours before we were there letting him know we would roll in around 10pm and he said no worries, he will wait. I’d definitely stay here if I rode to Alaska again.

Our recent stay at Cedar Lodge Motel was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we had made the right choice. Having broken down in Watson Lake, we were in a bit of a bind, but the owner of Cedar Lodge Motel went above and beyond to assist us. His friendly and helpful demeanor was a breath of fresh air during a stressful time.

The accommodations were cozy and clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The room was well-maintained and provided everything we needed for our stay. One of the highlights was the working TV, which was a great way to keep the kids entertained and provided a much-needed distraction after our long day.

Additionally, Cedar Lodge Motel's pet-friendly policy was a huge plus for our family, allowing us to keep our furry friend with us without any hassle.

Our experience was made even better when we compared it to our initial night at the Dragons Den, part of Andrea's Hotel. Moving to Cedar Lodge Motel was a decision we were incredibly happy with, as it completely turned our experience around. The contrast between the two stays was stark, and we felt immense relief and satisfaction with our new accommodations.

Overall, Cedar Lodge Motel provided us with a warm, welcoming, and comfortable stay, and we can't thank the owner enough for his kindness and support. We highly recommend this charming lodge to anyone passing through Watson Lake—you won't be disappointed!

Quirky, quaint little cabins that fit the vibe of an Alcan drive perfectly. Friendly proprietor at the desk, good set of basic amenities (fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee station), and the bonus of a loveseat for relaxing in front of the TV. The furniture has the feel of a well-loved old recliner (I'm thinking of my dad's La-Z-Boy) and our bed was hilariously squeaky, but it was comfortable and quiet and provided a welcome respite after a long day coming up the Cassiar Highway from New Hazelton.

The owner/manager was kind enough to receive me at a very late hour, for which I was grateful. The rooms are great, though a bit quaint. The only thing I would point out is that the floors need to be vacuumed more often. I stepped on a small piece of glass, which shouldn't happen 😖
