Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Castalia Marsh Retreat. Nous avons logé dans « the barn ». Un logement simple et charmant. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le parc qui était situé devant notre logement. Un homme est venu nous voir pour que les enfants puissent rencontrer les nouveaux poussins qu’ils venaient d’obtenir. Nos enfants ont adoré! Nous sommes restés 2 nuits sur l’île du Grand Manan, mais je crois que 3 nuits auraient été préférables. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et nous recommandons cette destination aux familles!

Castalia Marsh Retreat is a peaceful, creative gem on Grand Manan. The cabins are clean, cozy, and full of character, each one thoughtfully designed and perfectly nestled in nature. We have stayed in a couple of different cabins over the years and love waking up to the sound of birds and watching the sun rise each morning in the marsh.

What sets this place apart is the atmosphere; calm, grounding, and deeply connected to nature. It’s the kind of spot that invites you to slow down, breathe, and just enjoy the beauty around you.

James, the owner, is one of the kindest and most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. His love for the land and care for guests make the whole experience even more special. We can’t wait to keep coming back.

wonderful experience, (we stayed in an camper) However one of the doors wouldnt close proper, our toilet wasnt pumped, or were our camper clean,however the area quite nice and the staff were really friendly 🙂

The gathering place is an nice place to chill in however the public use kitchen was worrying as alot of the stuff in their also wasnt cleaned, i did an tiny bit of cleaning in the gathering place though,

So pretty nice experience for family! just wish things were an bit more neater

What a fabulous place to decompress. Back to nature. I stayed in Frog Hollow (I call it Frogmore Cottage, Lol) Tiny, cute and perfect. Captain and crew were the nicest people and so helpful. Love you guys!!!!! Keeping your eyes up and away from your phone will give you the best experience

Great little spot on the marsh with a ferry view and spectacular sunrise. Cabins could use a little tlc.

I've now stayed at the marsh retreat 3 different times in 3 different cabins (the barn, frog hollow, captain's quarters) and each time is an absolute delight. This place is magical and I cannot recommend it enough. The cabins are cozy and comfortable, with every amenity you could think of for a comfortable stay. The views of the marsh are unbeatable and the grounds are peaceful and beautiful. James the owner is a lovely, accommodating, host. I can't wait to come back here.

This is our second stay, we loved it soo much, i came with my friends the first time and this time it was me and my 2 toddlers, it’s a place i like to go to recharge and relax, we loved feeding the chicken, walking around the bonds, and discovering a lot of great cabins and accommodation each with its own unique and custom designs. ||The owner is amazing and very king, he goes above and beyond to make his guests happy, it feels home. we will defiantly come back, i highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a place to unwind, it’s quite and relaxing. we loved it so much and we will come again

We just had a delightful few days spent in the Fern alley cabin. It was so peaceful & relaxing. The cabin was so charming and clean. We loved it there. (My daughter said she wants to live there lol) You get so much privacy and a gorgeous view, it's a truly lovely place to unwind. We will definitely be back 🙂
