I had the pleasure of taking my parents on Captain Wayne's today. I had never gone whale watching before, but some Captain Wayne came highly recommended from some friends. We could not have been happier! It's a smaller boat and they had good jackets for everyone as part of the trip.

Captain Wayne was very personable. He had a wealth of knowledge on the all the different variety of birds, whales and the iceberg we saw. And he was genuinely excited to show us the wildlife. He spent just the right amount of time letting us get plenty of pictures.

I would highly recommend Captain Wayne's Marine Excursion's to anyone that wanted a more intimate wildlife experience. I can't wait to go again.

Wonderful size tour...only 9 guests total. Captain Wayne stayed out until we got the whale tail shot . Then we "chased" a pod of dolphins to see them. We were able to look the puffins in the eyes! Captain Wayne is knowledgeable and funny. Great trip and well worth the money!

Outstanding! Had our first trip with Captain Wayne 11 days ago and we enjoyed it so much that we booked a second trip. The first trip was amazing. Lots of birds to see and lots of information provided by Captain Wayne. We were lucky enough to see whales. The second trip surpassed the first. Not quite as many sea birds, but we saw eagles. Then we were treated to a small pod of 5/6 whales. One of them was having a lot of fun breaching, waving his fins and slapping his tail. One of the most incredible sights I have seen.

THE BEST!!!

This is by far the best tour company for Whale and Bird watching tours. Captain Wayne and crew with their 50 plus years of experience are the most knowledgeable we have ever encountered. Our tour was very intimate as we sailed by thousands of puffins we had clear unubstructed views of the whales that were swimming and playing all around the bay.
If you are lucky enough to visit during peak whale season I strongly recommend going on Captain Waynes. You won't regret it.

We spent a spectacular afternoon with Captain Wayne today, getting superb pictures of a pod of Whales feeding on Caplin in south Witless Bay. As he promised, we had whales close by virtually 360 degrees - biggest challenge was which way to look/point our camera! His smaller boat was able into the whale feeding areas the larger boats can't. Thanks for a memorable tour, Captains Wayne!

Puffins, eagles, seagulls and murres, so many birds on Gull Island!
And of course, the whales!

Captain Wayne was awesome. Smaller boat so less people on board and captain Wayne is great to talk to. He's very patient and makes sure your see what you came for.
