I always had a fantastic stay at the Canalta Rocky Mountain House. The location is perfect, it is near where I work. My room was always well kept and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations and assistance. I always enjoy the delicious breakfast buffet but maybe add more fruits or include soup in the meal but overall, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend it!"

Staff: very friendly, accommodating and professionalism staff, especially Darcy and Anita who surprised and welcomed me with flowers.

The rooms were pretty clean but definately very dated. The beds were rickety but it's fine for a day or two. The key cards were super finicky and we probably had to get a total of u for our two day stay with 4 adults.

The front desk person was just plain rude. While we were visiting the mountains on a day trip and got hit by a deer and totalled the car. Thankfully we had the other half of our family in another car so we were all able to fit in there. The lady would not allow a late check-out. Not even 30 minutes.

Later when we went to check out she was on the phone with what seemed to be a personal call and we stood there and patiently waited for her to finish and chatted quietly. She looked at my father's water bottle that was already half finished and just assumed that he was getting it from their small snack bar and punched the price for it into their pos system. She didn't say anything when she handed us the debit machine and went back to her conversation. After a while she realized that we were upset now and that we weren't buying the water and need actual assistance. She got off the phone and helped us finally.

The only good things in my opinion were the pool. (Though the slide is terrifying and super fast) The area. And a place to lay your head. The lady also let us leave our cooler for a couple hours since we had no room for it in the single car after the accident.

While this isn't a high end hotel, it's clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The kitchenette is definitely serviceable, just not quite as excellent as the BW in Airdrie that we stayed at. The location is very convenient, and we had a main floor room which allowed us to park nearby for ease of access via a second, outdoor access.

*after this junk response from canalta I wanted to add that when I phoned in for the price I asked if $188 would be taxes included and they said yes. Cheats. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I phoned for a room and was quoted $211. I said that was a bit much and they said that if I signed up for emails from them it would be $188. So I said sure and booked the room. Next day at checkout they charged me the full $211. I will not be back because I feel cheated.

We had a wonderful stay at the Canalta this weekend. We are a family of five and also have a dog. They were very accommodating and also allowed my parents to stay with us. We received a two-bedroom suite with two king beds and a pull-out sofa; they also brought in a cot. |The breakfast was great, had everything you needed.|My kids had much fun in the pool and loved the waterslide. The hot tub was down due to maintenance, which wasn't a big deal for us. I had a great time and had WONDERFUL service!

Honestly I'm not very happy with my experience, my family booked a king suite with a room inside of a room. But when we got to the hotel and checked in thet gave us a two queens side by side. We then went and told them that it wasn't the room we ordered. They then called up the people that booked our room after us and they weren't at the room yet. But we did get the stay for free. Even though we didnt get our room i am still glad we have a place to stay.

We used the meeting room to host a baby shower. The room met our needs beautifully and the staff were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating when we forgot a couple things. Will definitely use it again in the future!!
