Installés pour une nuit avec notre camping car, nous avons apprécié le calme de la basse saison et l'accès à la WiFi. Celle-ci est gratuite, les codes vous seront donnés par la personnes qui gère le camping. Possibilité de faire une lessive puisqu'une machine est à disposition dans le bloc sanitaire. 36$ la nuit avec électricité et raccordement direct à l'eau et aux évacuations selon les emplacements.

One of the better campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Every single camper I came across was polite and friendly, Sharri has done such an incredible job creating a safe place with such a welcoming atmosphere.
When you’re traveling on a bike all day having a place to take a hot shower and do a load of laundry is so incredible. They even have wifi! It’s right next to town so it’s a great place to stay to reorganize gear and restock on supplies.

She was gracious enough to allow me to extend my stay so I was able to wait out an atmospheric river, before setting out to continue on my journey around the island.

I am giving four stars because of the nice soft area reserved for tents . Very nice camp site with picnic table and fire ring .
I would say the showers and bathrooms were average to old but maintained well.
Also they let us put two tents on one site . This is a nice savings . I would definitely stay here again.

Wir sind leider im Regen angekommen. Der erste Eindruck war nicht gut. Die Toilettenanlage war Abends nicht sauber, am morgen war sie dann geputzt. Sie entspricht leider dem Standard der 60er Jahre. Dafür aber heißes Wasser kostenlos. Ein naturnaher kleiner Platz, alles gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Man sollte aber auch Berg auf und ab gehen können.

We recently stayed for three nights at Broughten Strait campground in Port McNeill and had a fantastic experience. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay very enjoyable. The relaxed atmosphere of the site was exactly what we needed. As three kayakers paddling to Prince Rupert, we highly recommend this campground for its welcoming environment and close distance to the port. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again…see u guys 🙂

Important info for car campers!! If you want to book an unserviced site/ tent site be aware that those sites are only walk-in!! You can’t park on the tent sites because they’re higher up and only reachable with the stairs. If you can choose site 9 or the other sites around the gazebo. They are unserviced and passable by car.
The campground itself is really great. It’s close to a dense rainforest so it can be really wet but that’s just the region. The washroom building is quite warm and clean and the showers are included, so take the longest hot shower you can (beware of spiders). We also booked laundry service. The machines are in the little shed next to the big sign. Both washer and dryer are clean and odor free. There’s no detergent provided (but maybe ask for that). You can hang out in the shed while waiting for the laundry to finish, the wi-fi’s best there, it’s somewhat warm and there’s even some books in the corner. The machines don’t take too long. The campsite caretaker who we had the pleasure with was super nice and helpful. The other guests were quiet and polite, there are no JBL box on blast and drinking all night people here. Port McNeill is in walking distance where you can get groceries or have a snack or drink or take the ferry to a close-by island. Can recommend!!!

A pretty decently equipped campground. Has free showers, laundry, inexpensive sani station, water power, etc. Close to town. No privacy between sites, but if you're in an RV that's fine.

The people who run this campground are amazing. They are extremely welcoming and will go above and beyond to help the people staying at the campground. Very helpful even to things non-campground related!

-$15/night for tent sites which have electricity & water
-You get GOOD wifi right from your tent!
-Great weekly & monthly rates
-Good lighting in bathroom, bench & hooks in shower area
-Hot showers with NO TIME LIMIT
-Sheltered picnic table
-PERFECT location. 5 minute walk to grocery store & town if you take the trail, 8 min walk if you take the road. Right by ferry terminal too!
-Laundry is by donation
-There is a cute cat that runs around
-Gravel road leading to the campground is in good condition
-Quiet almost all the time

The sites are pretty close together, so if you want more of a “camping experience”, go to Nimpkish or Marble River Recreational Site (both a 30 min drive away, free, but no amenities or cell service).

Port McNeill is awesome and worth a stop!
