Had given some thought to using this place to get home insurance as a first-time homebuyer, We spoke with the "head boss" in the building, and he pretty much blasted us because we were taking too long to decide on if we wanted to go with them or someone else (As anyone should, shop around for the best price you can get) These guys originally said that we'd be getting good coverage for what it is, Later finding out that it was just fire coverage. The boss got real mouthy with us after he found out we were shopping around for insurance and basically got angry with us because we knew what we were talking about. Anchor Insurance wanted us to pay $1100 upfront for the entire year for basic fire coverage, He would not allow us to pay monthly and said because of our age (24 and 22) he would not allow this. I stated to him that we both have phenomenal credit scores and have never missed a payment on anything in our whole life on anything that we own. I even offered for him to do a hard credit check on both of us so he would see that we would not miss a payment. He was using past situations to determine that he did not want us as "young adults" to pay monthly and said "well if you pay this upfront cost for the year, maybe we can renegotiate for next year to do a monthly payment plan" he said he has had too many "young adults" come in and get home insurance with them and set up a monthly plan and then have them not pay it and then it be a waste of time for them, he said "Well we need to get paid this is a business here and we could have done 8-10 other quotes in the amount of time that you guys are taking to decide" its beyond me why he put the entire business on hold just for one customer when his other staff could have been doing home insurance quotes the whole time. Anyways, We had a terrible experience with these guys. Pretty much age discriminated against us without even giving us a chance to show we would be great customers. I strongly urge anyone not to use these folks as a broker to get home insurance. I find it funny that he said "All these young people coming in getting home insurance with us and then not being able to pay" makes zero sense to me because that is a huge problem, If you don't have home insurance on a house you purchase with a mortgage, the bank will take your house because they are not covered and will end up losing out on money if people don't pay their bills! I wish I was recording the conversation with these guys because it was disgusting how they were speaking to us and discriminating against us.

EXTREMELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. there's no reason for them to be yelling at their customers while their customers are simply agreeing with what they said. Extremely unprofessional
