Absolutely atrocious customer service! Allstate used to be a reliable, professional insurance provider. I don’t know what’s happened, but as evidenced by all of the recent reviews, this company should be avoided. We pay them thousands of dollars every year and when we actually require service, they are no where to be found. Countless hours spent on hold on the phone, leaving messages, writing emails, all with NO results. We’ve been in limbo for weeks, not knowing what’s happening. Needless to say, unless there is some miraculous turnaround, we will be taking all of our insurance business elsewhere and advising anyone else we know to do the same.

Thank you to Priscilla for answering my questions, going above and beyond, figuring out some info and issuesnthat arose, and being overall courteous during our interaction.

It can be incredibly difficult to reach a human at this location but we all know that becomes a management issue considering customer service employees can be tied up for 30-40 minutes at a time (reviews and resulting negative sentiment are reflective of this)

It would be nice if they addressed customer service with a modicum of importance but here we are

I have been with this insurance company for years, and my past experience was handled fairly well, which is why I’m giving them two stars and not a 1. However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
They have changed their process so that you no longer have a dedicated representative to contact directly. Now, you’re forced to call into a general line and wait on hold for an excessive amount of time. After finally getting through and submitting my claim months ago, I never heard back. When I reached out again, I was told an advisor would be assigned to my claim—but I’m still waiting.
Even worse, I currently have an open claim that I’m unable to move forward with. It’s frustrating to be stuck in limbo without any clear communication or action from them.
During the hold, they play recordings boasting about their great service and how their team is based in Alberta. Ironically, when I finally spoke to someone, they weren’t even in Alberta.

You'll need different types of insurance; it is always accessible when signing, but getting service afterwards is a big problem. I also faced this problem. For four days, I tried to get service by phone. I spent over 50 minutes waiting on hold every day and still couldn't talk to an agent. Then I decided to go to the office and do a miracle: I was in the front. Priscilla met me. I didn't even have time to tell my whole story; she asked me to wait, and 2 minutes later, I was already talking to Agent Shawna. All my questions were resolved within 5 minutes. Super professional. Super polite. Super friendly. Priscilla and Shawna - thank you for making my day successful. You are awesome!

I've been with Allstate Insurance for the past 3 years, but my recent experience has been nothing short of awful. Last week, I received a cancellation notice stating that my insurance policy was canceled because they supposedly didn’t receive my CAE2 application. However, I had already submitted the requested document on October 10th (40 days ago), the same day it was requested.

I emailed them twice with no response. It’s frustrating that they are blaming me for their mistake. To make matters worse, I’ve spent over 1 hours on hold.

I’ve seen other Google reviews where the company replies, asking people to send an email to resolve their issues. How about responding to the emails I’ve already sent, which I’ve been waiting on for the last 7 days?

This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Completely unacceptable!

This used to be a great company with decent and personalized customer service. A while back they changed their system and now you can’t get an answer over email at all. You have no option but to call them for the most nominal changes or questions. So ridiculous to go this way on the technology era also they is no longer a personalized option so if you rather deal with one agent over the other you don’t get that choice anymore. The email part is the worst though, Pretty inefficient.

I have been with Allstate for over 25 years. Always great to deal but something has changed. In the last year I cant get a hold of anyone. Wait times of 1hr plus. Service is ok when you can talk to someone and have talked to great people there but if i cant get through to discuss changes and even pay for my policy I guess there might be no choice but to go elsewhere. Even if they did call backs but nothing like that. Very Frustrating!!

If you care about your well being and your family’s health. I’d highly recommend getting insurance through anyone other than Allstate. I’m currently at accumulative of 10 hours on hold and been waiting almost a month to hear an update on my claim. The definition of absolute incompetence.
