Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company. I was involved in an accident back in October where my car was T-boned from the side. The police report and both insurance companies clearly stated the other driver was 100% at fault. You would think that would be the end of it — but no.

Fast forward to now, I recently got a quote from another insurance company and it was DOUBLE the price. Why? Because Allstate reported the accident as somehow being my fault too. I’ve been trying to get in touch with my claim advisor, JULIE PALERMO, for over two months now and have received ZERO response. I’ve contacted the Allstate agency multiple times, spoken to different agents, and every single time I get the same generic response — and nothing actually gets resolved.

This whole process has been incredibly frustrating, and Allstate has shown zero accountability, transparency, or willingness to help their customer. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If nothing gets resolved soon, I will be pursuing legal action for providing false information and mishandling my claim. Stay far away from this company — they do not care about their clients.

Renewal for auto policy had to be changed to give me the 5 % retiree discount. Phone wait time were unbearable and when they calculated the “savings” off our 2800 $ 2 car policy it was… 5 $. Basically about 1.75 an hour for my various wait times. I asked to speak to the manager and was asked why.. I said I felt it was pointless to even offer such a discount. Was told the mana ant do anything or change things.. I understand that I’m just giving my feedback . She never did put in touch with hone above her. She kept putting me on hold coming back with should go the corporate website. I insisted on speaking the manager or someone to voice my thoughts. I didn’t blame her or the manager I just want to give feedback. I gave up eventually after being on the phone for 85 minutes and being told she was going to put me on hold again. I will wait and see if the manager calls me.

Waiting forever for a claim called 4 times for it and still haven’t recieved it they don’t even act as if they will send it, last time they told me they will contact me in 2 days… it’s been a week, and its not

My experience with Allstate Insurance, specifically with Maneesh Chopra, has been extremely disappointing. When selling the policy, he says all the right things to win you over. However, when it comes to servicing the policy, his attitude completely changes. He has hung up the phone on me and outright stated that his only job is to sell the policy—leaving the rest entirely up to the customer.

There is no support when you actually need assistance, and it’s clear that he doesn’t care about his clients. It seems like his main priority is making the sale rather than providing any real help afterward. If you’re looking for an agent who values customer service and stands by their clients, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

My policy is up for renewal after 5 years and I WILL NOT be renewing. All the reviews you have read about phone waits and customer service so TRUE. My “agent” apparently has retired or gone elsewhere and was excellent. I called or emailed him when needed as I could never get through to 800 or even local office. STEVE was great but NO NOTICE nor was I assigned my NEW agent. I have learned they no longer work this way!
EXAMPLE… After almost ONE HOUR on hold the person was useless. Good part is that while I was on hold I was able to get 3 quotes between 30 & 50 cheaper AND even spoke to a nice/knowledgeable people. I have had 2 no fault accidents and it was a nightmare getting any help. I ended up taking the vehicle to CarStar and they took care of everything.

Maneesh Chopra demonstrated exceptional professionalism, punctuality, and reliability, following through on everything he promised to do. He took the time to thoroughly explain the details of my home and car insurance, including all associated charges, ensuring complete clarity and understanding. While the rates were ultimately higher than my current provider, his dedication, helpfulness, and meticulous attention to detail made the overall experience highly positive.

Terrible experience with Allstate this year. Same sentiment and experience as many other reviews. Very disappointing as I have had home and auto insurance for years with Allstate.. I had previously championed and shared how great past reps and the experiences dealing with Allstate were exceptional. There is value in more than.just price but my home and auto policies combined have increased by thousands this year with no change in coverage. And the icing on the cake is to call the customer care line and get no effort or real empathy or explanation. Just reps who lack customer service skill and manners. What a shame.

Terrible insurance company. I started a claim 3 months ago and it's still not resolved. The adjustor only called me once after I kept asking for him for a whole month, only to tell me he's falling behind on his files. I kept asking to have the adjustor call me back, the calls escalated each time and didn't do anything. Calling the claim customer service is awful, you could be on hold for 2 hours and a half before you get someone, and you're lucky if you even get a useful experienced representative who gives you correct instructions because most representatives seem new and aren't useful.
They let me use a rental car for the time being with Entreprise, however you need to call them for a rental extension as it only lasts 2 weeks tops, then only get extended for a few days to a week if you managed to get ahold of a representative who could contact the car rental company.
Even the insurance staff from the office is limited in how they can help as they also had to call the claim department and escalate an email to the adjustor.
They also openly say they can increase insurance premiums without any reason.

Edit: it seems the others were right, they take forever to answer, but reply right away when we post a 1 star review (probably by bot).
