I am super disappointed in Allstate and sadly I just renewed so I can’t move all my business elsewhere. They aren’t cheap and we have all our cars, house etc with them thinking they’re a reputable company and won’t give us the run around. Sadly the 1 time I need to claim insurance I was passed around and now our claims adjuster Tracy Castonguay ignores my voicemails even after leaving her 5 messages. She hasn’t even had the courtesy to let me know that they cannot cover my waterproofing cost for my basement when I’ve explained to her that my daughter is allergic to mold and I need it resolved ASAP. I expect that insurance companies push back when claims are put through but to completely ignore a paying customer is ridiculous. And I work so it’s not like I can call everyday! Terrible service!!!

I switched to Allstate with my car and home insurance last year due to their better home insurance premiums. I enrolled in the summer, but the policy with All State was starting on Nov 1. In August , I have purchased a different vehicle, and asked to remove the old one from the policy yet to start. This has not been done. Then I sold an old car and notified my agent Karl Gregich in October asking again to remove the sold vehicle from the policy. He assured he would do that. In November I found out that I was charged premiums for two vehicles, including the one I sold. I asked Karl again to remove the sold car from the policy. This has not been done again. It was only after I raised a complaint to the Office, that the sold vehicle was removed finally. It was such a waste of my time and effort to deal with these issues, just unbelievable. Until today I have not got a refund from All State for over payment for non-existing car. I keep asking and reminding to recalculate the premium, because I paid for the vehicle which I sold before even the policy got in effect. Zero result. All State still owes me the money, and I am still wasting my time to get it back. I cannot imagine what is would be like dealing with them in the case of the claim. Very dissatisfied with the service.
