Bought a brand new Atlas Cross Sport back in March, had my check engine light and a couple other lights pop up on my dash. Booked an appointment and brought my car in, waited about 3 and a half hours just to get my car back the exact same as I dropped it off with all lights still on. Was told my ECM is locked from Europe and they couldn't actually see what the codes were for and re assured me it would take a couple days to get in contact and be able to access. No follow up happened I followed up 2 weeks after with no answers and reassurance again they would follow up and answer. A week and a half later I follow up again after not hearing back at all. Very rude person responded and went back and forth since I have 3 mechanic friends who said they have never heard of such a thing, got told its actually a part thats on backorder which is the first time I heard that its a part not a problem accessing codes? Been almost 2 weeks no follow up once again still driving my car a month and a half later the exact same problems. I thought bringing my car to the dealer who was so nice during the purchasing would be the best way to avoid these issues. Have since went into a buddy shop, he hooked up his scanner and saw all the codes needed. Now to go to another dealer and hope that it hasn't caused any damage driving my vehicle like this and being ignored. Absolutely appalling the way the service department works and by the reviews that I just saw and read through seems that nothing will change and its a constant issue.

We flew from Alberta to Abbotsford Volkswagen. Found our dream truck there. John picked us up at the airport. Service from John and August was impeccable. We can’t praise them enough . What wonder people. We were never treated with such hospitality at a dealership. John even went to McDonald’s to get us coffee because we told him we liked McDonald’s coffee. Highly recommend this dealership.

Since purchasing my brand-new 2025 Atlas Cross Sport, I’ve wasted countless time following up with Volkswagen and making repeated trips to the dealership, yet my vehicle still isn’t fully fixed, and I’ve been told there’s no ETA for my seat part. I’ve been dealing directly with Service Manager Douglas Smith.
The lack of communication and accountability has been unacceptable. They were quick to make the sale, but now that problems have arisen, I’m told they’re “too busy to follow up,” “can’t remember all their customers,” and “speak with over 300 people a week.” I constantly have to re-explain the same issues, having to follow up repeatedly because nothing is proactively addressed. Doug even said “all dealerships are having the same issues” and advised me to contact VW Canada because they are “understaffed” and “doing the best they can.”
It routinely takes weeks to receive an update, and I’ve had to repeatedly chase Doug, who claimed he didn’t see or misplaced emails. After one conversation, he emailed a recap saying the part was ordered but had no ETA and asked if I wanted to book the vehicle for other repairs in the meantime. I confirmed “yes” on September 25, but received only a “Thank you.” After following up again on October 1 with no response, I called the dealership myself on October 7 and had to explain everything again to a rep to then just be transferred directly to Doug without my knowledge and explain all the issues again even though there is record and photos in our email chain, before an appointment for October 17 was finally confirmed. Even then, I had to reconfirm all details via email before he acknowledged receipt on the same chain where he had previously claimed not to have received my message.
Issues with my brand-new vehicle include: a tear in the driver’s seat (now repaired but a different, noticeable color), water leaking through the passenger door, two new small tears in the back seat, folded interior trim, crooked exterior window trim, and a misaligned driver-side door. While manufacturing defects aren’t the dealership’s fault, the lack of communication, care, and urgency absolutely is. Appalled that a manager doesn’t take any responsibility for anything, super defensive, doesn’t listen and cuts people off constantly , and can’t even follow up when they say they will or provide an update without a customer having to follow up with them they should be holding themselves and staff to a higher standard.
For a brand-new vehicle from a large dealership, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I will never purchase another Volkswagen and strongly discourage anyone else from doing so.

Since we already knew what we were looking for, he gave us a clear and professional demonstration of the vehicle’s features, answered all our questions, and guided us through the process with ease.
The finance team was just as impressive. They handled everything quickly and efficiently over the phone, which really sped up the process and made the whole purchase seamless.

I very much dislike shopping for vehicles and I'm super particular about what I like.
This place nailed it. I walked in for a test-drive on a basic older Jeep, and got an even better deal on a newer one with all the fixin's, without pressure.
Lakshey is very personable and helpful and Lindsey from finance is excellent.
They didn't even touch my credit rating like places usually do while flooding it through the system. Overall a good experience.
