Will never be booking or recommending marlin travel simcoe based on my sub standard experience.

Booked last June to travel Jan of this year through this agency.

From the beginning communication was poor at the best of times, the original deposit and itinerary was confirmed including flight times. Full payment was made. Shortly before the trip we realized the departing flight time from Canada was changed and the agent acknowledged that she knew and never notified us at all - ended up loosing the entire first day of the trip. Initial follow up regarding my issues was Feb 1 she advised that she had inquired about filing a dispute with the third party travel company with no follow up or assistance, let alone an apology for their actions.

The same resort the same week was substantially cheaper on a booking website - should have just booked online and saved half the price and double the aggravation.

It’s now been 4 more months of dealing with the agency owner with every excuse and effort to pass the blame to the third party company when it was acknowledged in writing by both the original agent and that it was their mistake at this point.

I’ve now had to resort to filing an investigation with the better business bureau because the owner has chosen to not follow up or respond to any contact - yet has chosen to have her daughter post some bogus review response preaching about “accountability “ when the agency owner and agent haven’t exhibited any effort to follow through on the accountability they should have for their ACKNOWLEDGED negligence!

If you want to have an enjoyable vacation I’d avoid this extremely unprofessional and mismanaged agency at all costs!

8 years ago I ventured into Tan to Perfection inquiring about tanning services and found Cheryl Blake (Marlin Travel,Simcoe) and on the spot she became my travel agent and has never steered us wrong on our travels. She is the best. Any question, any problems, anything at all, she’s there with a solution no matter how big or small. Definitely 5 ⭐️ service!

Terrible experience. Made an appt and went in on a Friday early Jan/24 for a pkg vacation for Sept/24 for 2 couples. Got there and told the girl at the front desk it was with Jen and she said "oh thats me". Obviously, she did not remember about the appt. All she did was take notes during the 40 minutes we were there. She emailed back with prices only later that day. Nothing about flight times or any layovers, no breakdown of airport transportation, she said it included travel protection but no breakdown of costs and she mentioned about their booking fees but never stated the exact amount, only the list of different charges they have.
I emailed numerous times over the weekend, but they are not open on Saturdays. No phone call back about tye weekend emails until 4:30 on the Monday saying I could come in before 5. I live 45 min away!!! I played around with our own travel plans and emailed what we wanted to do. No phone call back from her until late Tuesday stating I could call and make an appt to book and pay for this vaca but that she wasn't in Wed or Thurs and that I could talk to another agent!! Why would I want to go through everything again with someone else I ended up booking everything online by myself, got an email confirmation, and paid in a matter of a few hours. I guess they didn't want our business.

Cheryl Blake has been a wonderful travel agent to deal with. She's help me booked my trip to Breathless resort in Dominican. She's very informative, understands your budget, and what you are looking for in your vacation. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to book a vacation. She keeps you up to date on protocols and everything you should know. 5 stars. Thanks so much Cheryl

My family member tried getting a little information from them about an upcoming flight and the woman she was dealing with was very rude and unprofessional. The lady had a fit saying they weren't a free service then hung up on them. Will never use or recommend this agency to anybody.

Unbelievable service. I went on my honeymoon to Greece, and it just so happened that riots broke out there. Marlin Travel had us moved to a safe location, and organized our travel home for us at no extra expense. They truly look out for your best interests when booking, AND while you're away. It's a full service agency. The real deal. Do yourself a favour and book with them, you won't regret it.

Booked a cruise through this agency. Lots of communication and assistance during booking and payment process. Once payment was made... communication stopped and assistance halted. No help with paperwork or planning. Went online and found a way to get tickets and book excursions on our own. It was as if once they received payment they were done with you. Will not use this particular agency again.
