This used to be my go-to place for roti. The food is never consistent anymore. We had food posioning a few times in the past. This year, I said, "Let's give them a chance again." Oh boy, the quality has gone down over the years, and it's a shame. The food is also not fresh, and the chicken is almost always undercooked. This time, we found twigs in both of our rotis. Please consider this as feedback and do better.

I love living in the GTA due to all the Trini places! This one is pretty amazing with a large selection of different local foods. I had shark ‘n bake. The last time I had this was in Maracas beach. I wasn’t sure it would be authentic shark but the lady said it was! Introduced my husband to it and he enjoyed it. We both got medium spice and did regret it. The spice level is hotttttt. But so good.

I recently visited Pepper on the Side and tried a few of their offerings. The doubles were absolutely authentic, hot, and fresh—just the way I like them. They had the perfect balance of spices and were bursting with flavor. However, the aloo pie didn't quite hit the mark. While it was tasty, it lacked that fresh-out-of-the-oven appeal that makes a difference in overall enjoyment.

If you're craving some authentic doubles, Pepper on the Side is a great spot to check out. Just be mindful that not everything might be as fresh as you'd hope.

This is the best west side Indian food in Brampton- Vishnu, Radica and Lena got nothing on this place. It tastes like home. The service is also amazing; they missed doubles in my last order and when I told them, they made new ones on my next order.

I really didn’t want to leave a 3-star review, but unfortunately, the spice level of my doubles completely threw me off. I specifically asked for medium, but what I got was extremely spicy—way beyond what I expected. I actually enjoy spicy food and have a collection of hot sauces at home, so I can usually handle heat very well. But this was on another level. It completely ruined the experience for me, which is disappointing because I was genuinely looking forward to the meal.

Food is great but the portions are really small for the price. Got the large size curry chicken with roti on the side and was still hungry after the fact. Definitely need to get their portion size up for the price they are charging aside from that food is good.

Always great food: usuals include doubles, polouri, jerk chicken rice with peas. They've recently done a wonderful renovation inside

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The food portions were ridiculously small for the price. They gave us the smallest containers (dippping sauce size) for our food! I left feeling hungry and annoyed that I spent so much money for so little food. While the flavors were decent, it’s just not worth it when you’re paying premium prices and getting portions that wouldn’t satisfy a child. Other places provide more options, bigger portion size and at a much cheaper price. When I buy the same meal elsewhere I can eat 3 times from that one order. Here I barely got full from the 1 order. Flavour was all there, taste was good.
