The owner is absolutely horrible to deal with. We had to use 3 different rental boats during our 6 days of fishing. He accused us of hitting a rock without even looking at the motor. The staff, other than the owner, was very helpful. Dean came out to tow us back to the resort. The rental equipment is horribly maintained. I thought the cabins were very nice until I checked under my bed while packing up to leave. There was a pair of someone else’s underwear under the bed. Lac Seul is a wonderful lake, but there has to be people who deserve my money significantly more than the Whitewing resort. I will never return.

I went with a group of 6 guys to White Wing Lodge and it was the best fishing of our lives. We all share a passion for fishing and have been to Canada many times. This place was different. We caught over 120 fish per day per boat and the shocking part was how much size. Multiple 23,24,25,26 were caught. Back to back 26 in walleyes and a 42.5 in northern.

Lou is one of the best guys you’ll meet. He’s always there to help out and give you a couple pointers on the lake.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to catch a lot of big fish.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cabins need some upkeep various insects, bats, rodents get in. They don’t all have AC so make sure if youre going in hot months you book ones that do in advance. The rentals boats are not cleaned out before you use them. I emptied a full garage full of liter from previous renters, which is poor guests on their part but ultimately that should be something that’s checked after each week by resort. Making Americans pay in U.S. dollars only and charging Canadians the same rate but allowing them to pay In Canadian money is little shifty. Very odd a business doesn’t take its own money never seen that before. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and this resort is the closest to the honey holes and dock fishing is sometimes better than fishing in the boat. All in all it’s an okay value for your money. $4000/week for 4 people .. meh .. not if you’re in small cabins get cabin 6 or 7 as they charge per person and not by the cabin. I stay at various resorts on lac Suel and I will definitely come back to this one

I have went in the past 2 years and I'm looking forward to going again this year. The people who run the resort are friendly and good people. The cabins are clean and if you need something the staff will help you out anyway they can. I can't get enough of this place and I wish that I could stay there all summer long.

Easy access, close to town, access to municipal dock to fish below dam, great fishing on lake, great accommodations, priced a little bit higher than other resorts but when you factor bait, fuel,towels etc,it is well worth it,,,

Went here when I was 13. Great trip! Ran from the van, rod in hand, cast from the dock, caught a 10 lb northern pike!
