GSU has a proud history of shutting off power without notice after they fail to process payments from credit card companies. I'm not sure if they're evil or incompetent, as there is evidence supporting both options. I'm pretty sure they test for outages by sticking forks in outlets.

Great company, keeps the house running. Unfortunately they have to kowtow to bizarre provincial and federal bylaws and taxes. I get it, customer service has been good so far.

Standard monopoly. No interest in customer service. No interest in actually doing much other than making customers work for them. Yet another protected class corporation that is foisted on us by useless politicians and corporatists with zero conscience and less accountability.

Can I leave “zero” stars? Apparently not, forced to leave one star. Terrible customer appreciation. Customer for 30 years and always pay. Away from home for extended period and receive a letter that threatens to cut services or demand a security deposit. Typical behaviour from a company which holds a monopoly. You’d lose the majority of your customer base if there were an alternative provider. Perhaps check the records of a customer before submitting such a notice. Shame on you GSU

Highly unreliable power...significant and frequent unscheduled downtime. High rates.

Two years later, we received 32 hours notice of a 7 hour midday outage to update infrastructure. They clearly knew this work was planned for weeks at least, they just didn't bother to tell anyone, for which there is zero excuse.

In most jurisdictions this would be done at night to minimize disruption, not here, where GSP doesn't want to have to pay overtime rates.

We need to re-nationalize these utility monopolies. What a joke.

Moved back to the city October 1, 2020 and just today (Dec 10th) received my 1st electricity bill. This is the ONLY utility company I have been a customer of that I have had such slow reporting. Especially in this day and age!

Then I attempted to register for an online account with them. Followed the directions precisely and it said the info does not match. So I call customer service and she tells me to try and enter the dollar amount of the current charges, whereas the website states I must enter "total amount due". This still does not work.

I do not have faith that anyone at GSU has any idea what they are doing.

Had amazing customer service today!
I didn't catch the ladies name that took my phone call and stayed late to ensure my issue was resolved.
I beleive the service guy said kayla or Kaylee her ex is 2321, I hope this gets back to her
Thank you so much for going over and above, especially when you didn't need to and your work day was done!.
