Bonjour,
Très mauvaise expérience avec FCT. Message trouvé dans ma BV avec leur numéro de telephone incomplet. Mon dossier était préparé depuis le mois d'octobre 2022.
Appel fait plusieurs fois, pas de réponse après 2 h. Mon hypothèque avait expiré depuis 30 déc. Aucun notaire m'a appelé même si mon dossier était une urgence. Je suis très déçue de cette situation.

Stay away from this business. My bank took it upon themselves to deal with them on my behalf. I am now contemplating leaving my bank and going elsewhere. I always had a wonderful relationship with my current bank. I am very disappointed. I went to my bank for a simple loan. I have a perfect credit. I needed the loan asap. It's been 17 days and still no go ahead. So I canceled and cn borrow elsewhere. These morons are charging me 51.00 to cancel my application which I thought was being done by my bank. Nightmare

I am now two weeks into an open term mortgage at 10% because FCT dropped the ball and delayed the mortgage switch by at least three weeks. This is horrible.

They tried placing a false claim against me no proof and turned out being false. This company is intrusive corrupt and not reliable. They will not own up to their mistakes and deflect . They put in false reports and when asked they constantly ignore you. After all proof was sent they still toss blame onto someone else. This company should be shut done or truly investigated by BBB as it put many people in horrible places and ignore the obvious and grasp at what they can false or not.

Overall I would give 3.5.

The people are doing their best, but they are lacking tools to enable Remote Signing capabilities, which seems crazy after 2 years of pandemic and living in a "Hybrid era".

We finished 2 weeks late, with unnecessary stress, knowing that I applied 3 months before...

Thanks for Baldwin assistance and professionalism along the process.

AVOID!!! No attention to details! Do not call you back or respond to emails till days , sometimes weeks later. My claim has now been going on for approximately 2years! I scheduled contractor over 1 year ago to do work figuring it would be more than enough time to process my claim… nope! Now I have invoices to pay and they say it’s my fault for getting the work done before my claim is settled… well sorry for needing to book certain contractors 1+ years in advance and not canceling on them! This is unacceptable!!!

Go to Chicago or Stewart title, if your lawyer says they are going to use FCT, get a new lawyer. Anyone is better than the nightmare with this company. Like any corporation that's grown to a certain size and gained a certain amount of market share, they simply don't care.

Their new ID verification software is completely useless. "With your passport face down, place your phone in the middle. Tap Scan Passport"...this must have been written by someone with a mental disability or outsourced out of Canada or both.

Provided two photo IDs and tax certificate but FCT is still "reviewing" and they do not care about your closing date.

WORST SOLICITOR EVER, don’t understand why banks still use them despite all the horror stories!

1) Title officer showed zero sense of urgency throughout the transaction.

2) Title officer showed zero attention to detail as paperwork had countless mistakes.

3) Representatives lied about not receiving a mortgage statement from EQB when EQB confirmed statement was sent to FCT MULTIPLE TIMES

4) FCT delayed my closing by 3 days, I had to pay a late penalty for every day closing was delayed

5) Shortfall request had incorrect higher amount, I was given an ultimatum to pay funds by 10am otherwise late fee would be applied, when I questioned title officer about her math, no answer was provided, ended up paying more than I should have, then they took their sweet time to reimburse the funds.

6) Signing appointment rescheduled at the very last minute – zero respect for other people’s time

7) Impossible to get a hold of my title office, was put on hold on the phone for hours

Could go on and on but not even worth it

Absolute nightmare, never going to use FCT again
