We took a tour onto the Footsteps of the Apostles with IHTours, our usual provider for Israel trips. We left the first week of July and while some were worried about the heat, we found the weather wonderful. We were able to swim in the Aegean Sea, with temperatures equal to or less than Ontario, and no humidity. We were glad we had chosen this tour at this time.

Our local guide, provided by IHTours, was exceptional in many ways. She was knowledgeable about Greek history, and her Greek Orthodox heritage added to the tour. She also ensured that we reached all the key places, including providing shade when needed and allowing us to rest on larger sites. Her ability to bridge the language barrier as well as to teach us some Greek made the tour even more ‘phantasticos’.

IHTours selected clean and modern hotels with great food choices. The bus driver was courteous and professional. The cruise was a particularly special touch. Our cruise escort managed all the shore excursions so we didn’t have to wait in line and even dealt with ’line-hoppers’. Having him on board set us at ease to enjoy and relax.

Pastor Rob’s highlight was an impromptu baptism request in Philippi. The highlight for most of us was ending the tour at the Acropolis, overlooking Athens and the Agora. Paul’s message at Mars Hill brought together all our teaching times over the previous days. What a finish to a spectacular tour.

We had an incredible experience on both our Italy pilgrimage in 2024 and the Marian pilgrimage in 2025. The itineraries were well thought out and spiritually enriching, with a great balance of sightseeing and prayer time. The tour coordinators were amazing—helpful, organized, and genuinely caring. The hotels were comfortable and well-located. Everything was smooth and well planned. Highly recommended!
A special thanks to Jiries, our tour coordinator at Marian Pilgrimage. Jiries went above and beyond in caring for our group, particularly in assisting my elderly mother. He personally helped push her wheelchair with patience and kindness, ensuring she was comfortable and included in every part of the pilgrimage. His attentiveness to the needs of each individual in the group made a meaningful difference in our experience.

We took a Pilgrimage to Portugal, Spain and France. Yolanda our Tour guide, Jose our Bus Driver and staff were top notch. Our Priest, Father Augustine was wonderful and preached the traditional words of Jesus. Only negatives was too much was packed into the trip. Only got 5 hours of sleep most nights and trip needs to be tailored down for adequate rest. Bathroom breaks were 20 minutes or less and no time to recuperate and little time to eat and rest. Toledo Spain hotel was the lone negative as staff was rude and arrogant and dinners were horrible. Rest of trip was top notch. Our Lourdes, France hotel was changed due to flooding and the new Hotel was the oldest in Lourdes. This hotel staff and food was excellent and the highlight of the trip. All members of our trip were excellent and it was a great time. This trip could have used an extra day to accommodate the stops involved. Adequate rest for older groups should be carefully considered but still a great trip!

The Footsteps of John & Paul

Excellent guides, fascinating destinations. There were some long bus rides but we had to cover a lot of ground. The cruise ship was average at best, but not why we went. Lots to digest and will enjoy remembering for years to come.
