Never take this walk-away insurance; they will never cover your gap insurance. They keep you waiting for months, ask for various forms, and then say your claim is denied due to commercial use of the car. If you use your vehicle for more than 10-20 kilometres each day, please do not purchase walk away insurance; they will not approve your claim because they will say you are using it for commercial purpose such as Uber or ride sharing. They do not have any proof, but they judge based on your kilometres. 🙏Please be careful before proceeding with it.🙏

Ya think I would have learned by now: buyer beware. A few years ago when we purchased our vehicle, we purchased Walkaway insurance for my wife (works in private sector so figured between the two of us, it was more important to have her covered). Not having read the policy line by line, relying on the summary provided to us at the dealership and the "placard" that summarizes the coverage we went ahead. "It will cover the cost of your loan if (any number of events happen). Well that was a waste of time and money (not too much). What the dealership and placard neglect to mention is" to make a claim, your vehicle has to be sold to get any coverage". The policy will not simply pay the financial institution if you loose your job. They will pay out any amount, up to the policy limit, once your car is sold by them at auction and they know what the balance (if any) is owing. So to possibly get the benefit, your car has to be sold. That is not exactly helpful. As the old adage goes: "not worth the paper it is written on". One piece of advice - don't waste your time with Walkaway

I must say “woooooow”. I purchased my first car from Don Vally dealer and VJ (salesperson) strongly recommended to get WALKAWAY insurance. At first , I wanted to reject it but he said so many thing might happen during 8 years of my finance term, so I accepted.

after few months of having my vehicle, I got laid off and I was extremely happy that I purchased insurance.

Walkaway was a God send for my Mom and our family. My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and as he battled Walkaway paid twelve consecutive of his monthly payments and upon his passing we returned his car and then Walkaway paid off the shortfall negative equity. My dad and later my mom, were treated with care and compassion by the claims folks - despite an emotional time for us it was good to know that this financial burden was looked after.
