Great experience with PEC wine tours for our friends bachelorette! The business was organized and punctual, and the vehicle was clean. Special shout out to Nick, our driver who was phenomenal. From giving us recommendations to taking group photos for us, he was so laid back, full of great wine knowledge and was genuinely a good time! Thanks Nick!!!

We did a wine tour this past weekend with 7 ladies and had the pleasure of having Cathie as our tour guide. She was kind, knowledgeable, and made the tour so much fun. All of the wineries were prepared for our group to arrive and Cathie kept us on schedule. We would definitely recommend this tour in PEC!

The best way to describe our experience with Cathie is INCREDIBLE!! This trip was planned as a random girls adventure and having a tour guide like Cathie made it memorable in a way that we could never forget. She was personable and supportive; she made sure to keep us safe and happy, took care of our belongings, filled us with joy and laughter, and was the best photographer ever! We fully intend on doing a trip like this again, and Cathie will be on the top of our list to book with. We are so grateful and so blessed to have had an amazing guide like her! THANK YOU CATHIE!!

Something went terribly wrong with our wine tour. The website, as you would expect from a wine tour company, promised good wine and nice ambiance at three select wineries. We’re not sure if the tour guide gets to pick their own route, but our tour was certainly not what was advertised. The first winery was Sugarbush. When you pull up it looks like a suburb mansion on a large lawn, and the garage was under construction so there were constructions materials everywhere. I felt like I was going to a family friends suburban pool party, not a PEC winery. The wine was good, but I was immediately taken out of the experience by feeling like I was in someone’s backyard. The next winery was Traynor, and it was great. Cool wines, a yummy slushy, and a nice patio and ambiance. This was what I was expecting! Delicious and funky orange wines. So I had high hopes for the last stop, thinking the first winery was a fluke. And then. We pull into Harwood Estate Winery. It felt like we arrived at the wrong location. Now I have no problem with hardy, working farms - I live in rural Ontario - but a wine tour promises a curated experience. The first thing you see when you pull up is wooden structures, tractor trailers, sheds, and many plastic tanks. It felt like we had gotten lost and had to pull into a working farm to ask for directions. The back patio was no better - a graveled area facing a trailer, and bird banger gunshots firing every few minutes. Again, serves a purpose as a working farm but why was a tour brought here!? There is so much this area has to offer, and I really felt robbed. I wanted to support places that put effort into the ambiance and atmosphere, and where I could have a fun little escape. That was what was promised, and unfortunately I left very disappointed. I want to understand if this was up to Wine Tour standards, or if this was due to a tour guides poor judgment. There was also no one teaching us about how to drink and appreciate wine. I could have planned a better wine route. Would not recommend

A true one of a kind experience.

We started our tour with PEC Wine Tours by being picked up at Huff Estates- a beautiful winery with amazing wood fired pizzas. I was very excited when I saw the air conditioned van pull up and was greeted by a friendly driver, Cathie. We hopped in and headed to the first winery.

I was a bit confused when the van started to slow down and pull into a property that reminded me of an upper-middle class, suburban house in Vaughn. Cathie let us know that this was not in fact the home of my dentist Dr. Gallant, but our first stop on our wine tour- Sugarbush winery. We pulled up to their literal front lawn, facing a garage renovation currently being worked on- on a Sunday. Through the sounds of hammering, Cathie let us know that they actually ferment the wines in their basement- right in between their lazy boy couch, and their kids prom pictures. As I got off the bus I thought I had accidentally brought an expired tuna sandwich in my purse, but the wretched smell in the air was actually the fish emulsion sprayed on the grapes likely 2 minutes before our arrival. The wine was ok, but clearly this was some kind of biased choice as our tour guide knew the family well.

Our second stop was Traynor. This spot lovely with some very unique wines, a great vibe, and lively staff. Would go there again.

The last stop, was a truly unbelievable experience. I lived in a trailer for a month during 2020, but this place gave me trailer park vibes like I’ve never felt before. Imagine 2002 clip art graphics meets road stop diner attached to a gas station. Their sign looked as though this place had been abandoned for at least two decades, but it was in fact a functioning winery- Hardwood winery. We got off the bus to find not another heartbeat in a 10 mile radius. The post apocalyptic vibes carried through with the bird-cannons- multiple machines spread around the winery (right beside the tasting area) that emit about 15, near identical gunshot sounds every 10 minutes to scare off birds from the crops. We started with a food “pairing”, a small plate with 3 round brown objects (food I was told) covered In plastic wrap. We were immediately served 3 wines in such a fast pace, I was transported back to taking shots in my dorm room. After downing 3 wines in 45 seconds, I went over to the bathrooms- a port-a-potty with 0.14 ply toilet paper, no mirror or soap, and a cracked sink repaired with Elmer’s glue.

Overall for almost $150 per person, I expected to have a lovely tour of 3 winery’s that had a vibe somewhat reminiscent of “vacation”. Not one location had a toilet connected to sewage, a properly shaded tasting area, or more than 2 other customers having tastings (strange for a Sunday afternoon in August). I don’t consider myself an extravagant person. I live on a farm and was hoping for a nice day out at wineries with pretty scenery, a nice tasting area designed for tourists, and a welcoming atmosphere- I don’t think I got any of that. Overall I would not recommend this company, as two out of the three wineries were not worth my time or money. The photos attached are of the entrances to the wineries.

Our driver also made two questionable remarks that seemed unprofessional…

1. That she refused to drive the two upper scale vehicles in the companies roster because she “didn’t want to be associated with those kinds of people”? I’m assuming she meant those customers who pay her salary?
2. She mentioned multiple times how much she dislikes bachelorette parties. I’m assuming women who are just trying to enjoy a vacation, and who also pay the majority of her salary.
