On December 2, 2024 I was scheduled for a full hip replacement I tried and regional hospital. I have to say that this was the most positive experience I’ve ever had in terms of a surgical procedure. The staff was amazing. Everyone in the operating room was so kind and so supportive. Cute story, they noticed a tattoo on my back that said one love and played Bob Marley “don’t worry about a thing” and they were all singing helping to bring my increased blood pressure down knowing I was nervous. I don’t think I’ve felt so much care and genuine concerned from a room full of strangers. It was beautiful. The surgery was also done incredibly well thanks to the amazing Dr. Cullinan The anaesthesiologist was wonderful and asked very in-depth questions so that she knew exactly what I needed and I received freezing in such a kind and gentle way.
Thank you to Jennifer my nurse she was full of smiles and made me feel so safe and comfortable and all the rest of the people in the operating room with their songs and laughs and even the loving nurse with her beautiful accent and kind eyes and warm hugs. It all made me feel fully comfortable and trusting of this procedure and all the people involved. Big thank you to Dryden hospital and all the beautiful people for all your care. I knew I was in good hands i would definitely come back to Dryden again when I need surgery in the future.
With so much gratitude I’m heading home and feeling good considering yesterday I received a full hip replacement .
Your all amazing people.
Thank you for everything

Had surgery, returned to hospital with excessive bleeding from the site. Left to wait for three hours until dressing was soaked completely through. Meanwhile I could hear nurses gossiping unkindly about a patient with police officers, an empty waiting room and a bed too small to lay on. This hospital does not prioritize patients properly EVER.

Long story short, I left without care (again). Hope I don't bleeding out before I get to Sioux lookout

Dr V nearly killed me. Had go to get a second opinion in sioux. They said I have nerve damage, chronic, and yeah that other thing. This maybe permanent, as i can barely walk
See you in court Dr.V.
Eagle lake first nation is aware on this band we got good lawyers. Enjoy the rest of your time being a doctor.

I don’t have much good to say there at all
waited in ER with my son to see a doctor seen a nurse practitioner after 4 hour wait she came in looked in his mouth and said yup swollen tonsils (didn’t even swab him) okay Advil and Tylenol 3 days later his leg hurts next thing I know where being flown out to Thunder bay paediatrics he had strep and because went untreated turned into a bacterial muscle infections it was hell!!!! We spent 13 days in the hospital poked with iv and 5 different antibiotics all because of the lack of care for even standard things!!! The only good thing out of it was the second emerge doctor (swabbed took test)not the first as he was horrible and would have sent us home again! There was also a nurse who was great she put an iv in his arm and it was one of the best ones seen stayed in for 8 days no issue

If you ever require care I’d say keep driving past dryden regional they don’t seem to care or listen to the patients at all!

I do not find the Hospital terribly bad, Staff is friendly and understanding. Yes, I have walked out a few times do to wait times, but I understand triage. My issue is with the huge gap between primary care and emergency care. The area needs walking clinic service. I waited for weeks to get in to see my doctor for serious ankle damage, and update him on another matter. He did not even look at the ankle and I was forced to emerge where I was casted for over a month.
The pain we as patients deal with just waiting for the substandard service, only to be sent 4 hours away for treatment. Absolutely ridiculous.
The Hospital is alright for what they have to work with... the system and politics around here are piss poor!

Hello I visited the hospital on Thursday July 25 2024 after falling off a curb they said I could only see am RN we all know they can not diagnose you they can not refer you they can not order x rays...so I was not pleased that they denied me service..still hoping that my knee is not cracked but the swelling has not gone down! Looking to go to a different hospital where I can see a darn real doctor! Thank for nothing!

Useless, and Unhelpful Staff.
Dont recommend wasting your time trying to get in to see anyone. Your treated like a joke. Discharged WHEN THEY FEEL like you ahould go. WETHER your ready or not. xrays are only as they see fit and sometimes not enough is xrayed.

Go Anywhere but here if its anything actually serious. Or you want to actually have answers, not told to just take tylenol and advil. Which if those worked then no one would go up anyway.

Very huge lack of parking does not help matters.

This "health centre" shouldn't be accredited. I often wonder how many other people experience the same negligent care as myself and several family members. Put in a complaint and Patient Care Services takes months to respond, with NO action plan on how to rectify the terrible care people receive.

New ***I escalated this matter to the ombudsperson and ministry of health. The DRHC did not respond within a YEAR so the case file was closed.**
