J ai réservé une auto par internet. J ai téléphoné par la suite pour m assurer qu il aurait des pneu d hiver. On m a renvoyer une confirmation que ma requête était enregistrée. Lorsque que
l on arrive pour prendre possession du véhicule on nous annonce une surprime de 20$ par jour plus taxe . Soit plus cher que le véhicule. Sérieusement , c est vraiment malhonnête ce fonctionnement et ce prix exorbitant !!!

Mon épouse et moi avons loué depuis la Martinique un véhicule à votre agence de BANFF, afin d'effectuer un roadtrip dans les Rocheuses Canadiennes du 14 au 18 septembre 2023 Il était prévu que nous rendions le véhicule à une agence AVIS d'EDMONTON le 18 septembre.
A notre grande surprise, l'agent de service le 14 septembre vers 15h00 refusa de nous donner le véhicule, prétextant que nos permis français n'étaient pas valides. Nous avons tenté de lui expliquer qu'étant au Canada juste pour 2 semaines, que l'utilisation du permis français était autorisé. Il a refusé de nous écouter. Très énervé, il a claqué la porte du local en le fermant et est parti, nous laissant devant le local avec nos valises et sans solution, alors que nous devions dormir )à CANMORE ce soir là.
Heureusement que le lendemain, un autre agent qui était de service vers midi nous donna le véhicule sans aucun problème.
Je tiens à signaler que l'incompétence de l'agent de service le 14 nous fit perdre un jour de location, nous privant par de certaines visites prévues à notre programme et engendrant des frais supplémentaires pour notre voyage

I have never thought about writing a review for car rental. This time while traveling from Calgary to Banff and then to Jasper I had 2 separate rentals from Avis. I had extremely good experiences on both times. These were smooth and quick both getting cars as well as drop offs. Particularly Dip at Avis, Banff was extremely helpful when I dropped off at Banff and later picked up on a Sunday morning. He also gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants.

I have never written a review for a rental car operation but this was easily the best experience we've ever had.

First, its a small office staff of one or two people processing a lot of info, be patient. We arrived at 7:50 to pick up our car and the red-headed supervisor was already working with another person with a low tire. if we were in that situation I would want his help to come first.

Second, its a small operation trying to meet everyone's needs. If he can accommodate you, he will, that's the kind of person he is! We returned the car and were renting a Budget or Avis for the trip to Calgary but requested keeping the same car because it was perfect for the past week. He handled to paperwork quickly!!

Can't express how much I appreciated an interaction I dreaded to one that delivered outstanding service. Great manager!!!

We rented car from Banff Avis in our Canada trip to drive from Banff to Jasper and driving around this area for sight-seeing. Collecting the car at the start of our rent was smooth. We were served by Deep. He was professional, friendly and talked through the important information related to car rental. While we parked our car in designated parking lot in Jasper Skytram car park an RV had hit the front side of the car as it was reversing. We were not present in the spot at the time of this non-fault incident. Upon arrival at the car park to leave the spot we had met the RV driver. Did all the necessary formalities. A friend of the RV driver had tied a plastic zip to the broken part to attach it somehow to the main body of the car. I called Avis support helpline and was advised to report the incident to police and thereafter only Avis can proceed with the incident. After the police came and gave us the case reference number the officer advised us to visit Jasper Avis in the town. After visiting Jasper Avis, the staff mentioned that they are just a franchise of Avis and can’t do anything to replace the car or arrange any mechanic to fix the car. The staff only handed us some paperwork and said that I can try to drive the car from Jasper to Banff which is very close to 300 km. Next day, very early morning I drove the car from Jasper to Banff. At the drop off desk I was served by the Banff Avis store manager who unfortunately didn’t show any empathy. Even, cut me off right after I was trying to brief him about the incident saying, “the car was in your possession so you’re liable for everything.” I was given the paperwork to fill in. While I was submitting the paperwork, we were served by Deep who talked through about the timescale, and the information I had asked.
My overall experience of using Avis for car rental isn’t good at all. In the event of an incident Avis failed to facilitate with integrity between different stores which are Avis franchises and on top of that rude, unempathetic behaviour from Banff store manager has completely put me off.

Rented a car from Avis Banff on Monday. I had some trouble with the chip on my card in order to authorize the payment, but Cory went above and beyond to find a solution when a lot of agents in that situation probably wouldn't have been bothered. Great customer service from Cory, and all the details were explained concisely. On top of all that, I had the keys within 5 minutes of walking up to the desk. Excellent and efficient service

I reserved a car and went to pick it up, but there was no car.
You can reserve a car anytime from the Avis website, but there is no actual car and no communication that there is no car.

When I asked why they didn't have the car, they blamed me for some reason, which made me feel bad, so I contacted another rental company and they immediately arranged it for me.

Had a problem with a vehicle rented in Calgary but had issues getting help.

Eventually I ended up at this location in Banff and Cory saved the day by helping me exchange the vehicle. It was a difficult situation but Cory helped me navigate the bureaucracy so I could continue my vacation.

He took charge, made the phone calls and explained options all with a calming smile.
