I remember when this Mall was built, if I'm correct it was in the mid 1980's. It's surprising to see that the amount of shops has decreased over the years, but I'm not aware of the reasons this has taken place. With the new expansion under way, it's exciting to guess what could be coming. Whether it be a store or restaurant, you know the staff at Southland Mall will do their best to present it.

A great place for indoor winter walking with the dorg. The new restrooms are second to none and the atmosphere is pleasant and humbling. 5 stars!

The mall is hardly worth visiting now. But they are working on updating, and adding new stores. So hopefully in a few years, it will improve again.

Absolutely DEAD!!!!!! Might as well bulldoze it down. There are no tenants. Either rent is to high or something else. I clearly remember when it was new. I worked there. It was the place to be years ago. Still doesn't make sense to me. Used to be able to go to the Mall in the midst of a cold snap, buy your groceries, pick up hardware, buy a new suit, or a new pair of shoes, and have supper without starting your car half a dozen times on a cold winters night. And they say a stand alone business is cheaper..... somethings wrong with this picture.

Went to the movie theater. The staff was very friendly. The theater seats were comfortable. The popcorn was great. Went to the first show of the day, the afternoon show. There were only 2 other people in the whole theater. After the show, the staff were all in the employee room, chatting. The ladies washroom was disgustingly filthy! There was toilet paper and liquid on the floor of every stall. None of the toilets had been flushed. The sinks and counters were sticky. My granddaughter and I left without using the washroom, trying not to touch anything, and went to the washroom in McDonald's, which was clean. Very disappointed with the staff's cleaning standards.
