The staff at this hospital are wonderful. They helped my family have a few more weeks with my mother—and I will forever be grateful to the operating doctor, nurses and other professionals who treated her with great care, respect and dignity. Every extra day we got with my mother was a blessing. I will cherish this gift for the rest of my life. She was the best human that I have ever known and words cannot properly express my gratitude. 🙏

Also, a note to all visitors: please do not block the wheelchair ramp or ambulance accesses at the main/emergency room entrances. I have witnessed this callous behaviour every time I have had an appointment at the hospital and when my mother was taken via ambulance for emergency surgery. If the person you are picking up is not there, circle around and come back - or park in the main lot. Just because you drive a big brand new Ford F-150 or a luxury BMW doesn’t entitle you to idle there. How would you feel if it was your loved one who couldn’t access the hospital or receive immediate/life-saving medical attention? The elderly and disabled in our community have a right to access care here and be able to enter the hospital without obstruction. Ambulances shouldn’t have to honk at you to move either. Please consider others in the community. ❤️

While I’ve never visited the ER, I can share my experience with the day surgery unit. I had a procedure in February and all the staff I came into contact with, without exception, was respectful, caring, compassionate, cheerful, attentive and professional. I cannot speak highly of them enough. The nurses were amazing - Shannon, Samantha, Natasha, Crystal, Brittany, a lovely student and OR nurses whose names I cannot remember. The surgeon and anesthetist were very thorough, and reassuring. My experience at the Winchester Hospital was definitely a 10/10. Well done!

I came here 1st time visiting emergency. Get in 6:30 am on Thursday 22 May . I registered at the Emergency admin desk. There were 4 patients already waiting ahead of me . I got called my name at 8:02 am and got in a waiting room to see DOC. He shows up at 10 am . Overall experience was great and staff is kind and helpful.
It really depends what time you get in hospital. More early you go , less waiting time will be.

Drove here from Ottawa, due to hearing very good things about this hospital. Came here, and the front staff were super nice, and caring. We literally came, waited maybe half an hour, and were sent into a room. The doctor too cared for me, and showed me how much they cared for me, and actually cared for me. Currently waiting to see what's going on with me, but so far so good.
