Horrible service. All you get when you call for a claim is an operator telling you the status which is always pending. Then when you want to speak to a creditor they say they’ll call you back and never do. No one honours a call back or an update. They kept asking for more info from doctors on prior medical history even though my injury isn’t chronic. It’s been 2.5 months. And I havnt seen a single payment back on my mortgage.

This review is for Sunlife financial as a whole and not that specific branch. All I’m going to say is that once your insurance has ended with them, they will not honour any obligations such as paying for for medical fees occurred in the last few months. They will make excuses to reject your claims until you give up. Manulife is a much better company which honours their obligations even once your agreement with them has ended.

I requested to cancel my policy. Their reps informed me that it’s canceled. After 4 months, I got a bill that Sun Life charged me for the 4 months. They lied about the cancellation and I had to pay the fifth month in order to stop my insurance. This company is Dishonest, a Scammer and their staff lies.
