And I just spent the weekend at among the trees. We had an excellent experience. The place was very clean. It had a kitchen, bathroom bedroom fireplace, air conditioning, flushable toilets, running water, electricity. It had a deck on the front of it with patio furniture, a barbeque and a fire pit. It also had an outdoor sauna building, very clean.I highly recommend! We will definitely be returning. Lying in bed on our last night we noticed when we looked up that we could see the big dipper clearly. Absolutely fabulous!

My partner and I booked the Canopy house for the 2 of us at the end of September for 4 nights. We also added the romance package which included rose petals and a beautiful bouquet on arrival!
Accessibility: I'd describe this experience like camping with a trailer, but your trailer is the dome! The drive to the property is through a marina so it doesn't feel 'off-grid' but the domes are located up from the marina via a few steep hills so you feel truly 'among the trees'. Although we were too early for 'peak' fall colour, we were lucky to get some warmer days where we took advantage of the small (private) dock and enjoyed using the canoe and kayak available for guests. Walking down to the dock is possible but you'll need proper footwear - we decided to just drive to avoid the steep walk.
The Dome: We loved our little nest, the bed and pillows were very comfortable! The kitchen was equipped with the basics of what you need, we cooked on the stove and the BBQ during our stay. We spent golden hour listening to the birds and our evenings beside the fire pit.
Other notes:
-Loved the outdoor shower!
-Best star gazing would be at the Maple house
-Parking for both domes is nearest the Canopy house
-Our hosts, Brian and Kristen, were very responsive to our questions and helpful while we got settled in. The incineration toilet is a bit intimidating but the instructions are clear!

I'd recommend staying Among the Tree's to anyone wanting to explore the Manitoulin area!

Pretty epic. My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Among the Trees and it was definitely the experience we were hoping for! The dome was immaculately clean and very high end feeling. Very comfortable with air conditioning, fans, and even 2 different options for heating at night (electric, and the more rustic but equally effective wood pellet stove).

This area of Ontario is STUNNING. The water is crystal clear and the Killarney mountains surrounding the area are a hidden gem. Great hiking, paddling, and fishing everywhere we went.

My family and I had our first glamping experience here. Absolutely perfect!! The dome exceeded any expectations we had. It was totally set up with everything you could possibly need and it was extremely clean. The whole set up was comfortable and relaxing. Booking was simple and there was always a very quick reply to any of our questions. Planning on returning next year!

My fiancé and I stayed here on Canada Day long weekend for 2 nights. The Canopy House was exactly as described and surpassed our expectations. It includes brand new appliances and a design that will make it feel like home. The deck was a great hangout spot with the bbq and the propane fireplace. Brian and Kristen are great hosts and we are both happy we chose this place for a special moment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vacation.

This was our first time glamping and we were very curious about the domes. Among the trees did not disappoint. Dome was beautifully decorated, cozy, loved the details and the cedar smell, our kids loved being able to see the stars from their beds at night. We took a scenic boat tour around Mc Gregor Bay with Brian, who after a very long day of work, was kind to take us bit further to greet Finn and tell us stories about Birch Island and his entrepreneurial dream to bring more people to see what this place has to offer. We would definitely go back and Im sure that Brian and Kristen will continue to make us live a fairytale experience Among the Trees and beyond.

We recently stayed at Among The Trees for 2 nights. Brian and Kristen are excellent hosts and have thoughtfully created the space that would provide you with a unique experience. It was hard to tell that they have opened just one month ago, as everything was so well arranged. You have to admire the simplicity but at the same time, every essential item was available, including good cellphone coverage. The outdoor shower area was fun and the dome was very well equipped. The kids enjoyed a lot, including the water activities that were available. We will surely be back and appreciate Brian and Kristen for their hospitality.

We loved our stay at Among The Trees! As fellow tourism operators in Northern Ontario we can appreciate the hard work and attention to detail that’s gone into building this sweet little oasis in the woods. The dome is immaculately appointed and we were super cozy in the Maple Dome despite the cool winds of November. The pellet stove and warm blankets kept us toasty and the sauna in the trees was a real treat. We had everything we needed to cook some nice homemade meals and had an awesome time getting toured around by Brian in beautiful McGregor Bay on his boat. They have so many cool things to explore in this scenic region. Highly recommend!!
