Lorne's tax service rips off the consumer and misrepresentation what they do for the Disability Tax Credit. They charge you 25% for submitting documentation that my family member collected. They did nothing!! This should be illegal. People beware you can submit your information by yourself through the government do not pay someone 25% of your return!!

I filed 8 years here in one go .
Had high hopes but my taxes were not done correctly. Never spoke directly with the person who did my taxes.
Sat down initially a secretary who was lovley to speak with. I then received a call from them to come in and sign off on everything to complete my return .
When I came in it was an elderly lady who had an attitude about her from the first greeting. I had to personally pull out my phone to calculate what I was estimated to receive or owe.
She just wanted my signature, $800 and me out of the building .
After 2 weeks I spoke with cra and I went from receiving a decent amount to owing cra after they properly checked my returns.
My estimated earnings could not have been more off .
I paid a premium to get my taxes done here and did not get anything better then h&r block unfortunately.
At least at h&r block I saw and spoke with the person doing my taxes .
I was told 2 weeks from Lornes , I was not told that 2015-2017 would be 8 weeks . Because it was done by mail .
My 2018 - 2022 was suppose to be a few thousand returned according to Lornes .
Instead I owe almost $1000 after my assessment from cra.
Who knows how much I will owe once the cra completes the previous 3 years by mail as those were owing years according to Lornes

Update just spoke with the elderly lady on the phone asking her about these issues and she hung up on me.
When I asked her why I paid more then every other tax service and did not get told what I owe or it calculated in front of me or speak with the person who did my taxes she said .
"Because that is how we do it here "
I paid 30% more to this company to be hung up on and not explained my taxes properly.
Terrible service, this women I spoke with should not be in a position that she answer phones and deals with clients
Burned 800$ to owed over $800 and get a betterexplaining as to why from CRA then the "specialist".

Lesson learned enjoy my money.
