They have always been good to work with but recently I was chatting with Ginette in the Dispute Department and she was a true gem. Empathetic, helpful and really pleasant to deal with. I have two cards with them and really enjoy banking with them

Scum of the earth.
When I was behind in my payments because I had a stroke and was hospitalized they and their equally scummy collection agency, Cook, Cook and Cote paralegal LIED to me about a credit arrangement, got a court judgment against me (where I was unrepresented) and garnished a JOINT ACCOUNT, that is still frozen.
The only reason I would go into a Canadian Tire now is to vomit on their floor. The spend millions on advertising and their faux charity, but do this to a disabled veteran.
It bothers me that they can use the name “Canadian” as they don’t represent our values.

Corrupt credit dept. Checked my credit then approved me for a card. They never sent it out I call two weeks later and they said my account was closed internally. Ok never again.

Bought tires and did all recommended work that was claimed by them In 2020, the tires were bald in 28,000KM even though they have a rating of 120,000 KMs or 5 years… They replaced the tires and … claimed they replaced them the first time on a “gesture of good will” which was not the case, they were under warranty and I fought for 3 weeks before they replaced them.

Now tires still under warranty and claim to last up to 120,000 KMs…. and bald in 30k but they refuse to replace them even though, I still had in writing on their paperwork 100% warranty.. still they refused to replace them the 2nd time and said it was my vehicle…and not their DEFECTIVE TIRES. But how is it my vehicle when the tires lasted the same amount of time and I did all recommended work they claimed I needed as well..

I’ll go elsewhere from now on. These people are crooks.

Good company, good customer service, bad ratings here reflect sour grapes for people who had bad experiences. Considering the volume of calls they field the fact that they have only a few bad reviews is impressive.
They have always been attentive to any issues I might have had, and did their best to resolve them in the fairest manner possible.

It’s nice to have some faith in good customer service restored. Frank McGuire’s professionalism and customer service skills turned what could have been the worst customer experience into a win for the Canadian Tire Bank. I am a customer for life thanks to his actions.
