Travelling across Canada from Vancouver Island and wanted to experience The Lake of The Woods walleye fishing. Found Green Adventures and Scott set us up for a charter with Darren, an excellent guide. We had an amazing day that will undoubtedly be a highlight of our trip. Thanks so much Scott and Darren.

Gavin was excellent in setting us up with kayaks for the day. The Coney Island "shuttlers" gave us a quick tour of the island we can kayak to. A really great day with excellent hospitality.

Great business, really nice and helpful staff and owners. Would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking for a great experience on the lake - whether it's just some basic kit at a very reasonable rate or something that takes advantage of the huge depth of knowledge that they have of the area.

We stopped in on Labor Day weekend with no specific plan, and the friendly staff got us set up with two kayaks and a route, and in the water in no time. Very reasonable rates and beautiful views once you’re out on the water. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for an experience at Lake Of The Woods, look no further than Green Adventures. They know the lake and the amazing history of the lake like no other and offer amazing tours and excursions. We wanted to see some of the amazing beaches of Lake Of The Woods, so we asked Scott to show us around. He knows where the hidden gems are!

The guy (owner I think?) was super friendly and fair. Check in was easy AND he didn't nitpick about the time. We went over our time by about 5 minutes and it wasn't a big deal. He told us exactly how to get to nice little beach to hang out and the paddleboard we rented was good quality.

My 3.7 year old boy and I rented a canoe to spot for my wife who was trying a Stand Up Paddleboard for the first time. I was impressed, she stayed dry the whole time and stood up at least 8 times for varying lengths of time, mostly short ones.

The person who met us was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were provided with all the equipment we needed, including a little paddle for my son, who did a great job trying to paddle!

For $30 for a 2 hour rental, this was excellent value. I did not have to haul equipment anywhere. I just had to go the their office on Laurenson's creek for what was a truly Green Adventure. The creek is worth exploring more than once. Lots of birds to observe. I thought about buying a paddleboard but at this price, it just makes more sense to rent one for those odd moments we want to give it a try.

I'm going to try a Coney Island day trip one sunny Saturday or Sunday. Haven't been in 40 year.

One of the two places we were able to find in Kenora that offered canoe rentals. The other place didn't pick up the phone so at least Green Adventures responds (though it may take long by email).
Unfortunately though, we never got to rent a canoe. We had called in advance and was told that there were a lot of canoes left to rent. Asked them if we should make a reservation and they told us that it was fine and we didn't have to. We got there 30 minutes later and was told that we came at a busy time and they were almost out of rentals. After that, although we waited at the store for further information, we were not acknowledged or informed of what was available or not available until we asked ourselves. There were a couple other groups there at the time so it was understandable that we would have to wait, but it would have been proper customer service to give us some information while we were waiting.
