Whoa. Just got back from abroad. This place is a culture-shock. It's a complete prison now. What did they do?
-the whole waiting area is gone
-locked doors
-only one guardian allowed with dependent
-still enforcing maskurbation
-signs everywhere saying abuse isn't tolerated (and detailing what exactly that means)
-cops all over
MAYBE if you weren't treating your desperate customers like prisoners, they wouldn'tbe prone to acting like prisoners.
And MAYBE this is also why you're understaffed! Because prospective employees know they can apply abroad to work in an actual *Hospital* rather than a prison. And (gasp) even be allowed the dignity of their own beautiful human faces.
The covidian doomaday cult sure did a number on Canadians, eh?

I had a hook in my hand and the staff was very kind and helpful. They calmly walked me through the process and made a stressful situation easy.

My recent experience at Lake of the Woods Hospital was nothing short of appalling. Despite arriving with my baby in need of medical attention, we were forced to endure an excruciating wait of five hours without anyone bothering to check on us. This level of neglect and disregard for patients' well-being is utterly unacceptable.

What's even more concerning is that we were not alone in our plight. Another distraught mother and her baby had been waiting since 8 in the morning, only to receive no medical attention whatsoever by 4 pm. This prolonged neglect of patients, especially infants in distress, is simply unfathomable and raises serious doubts about the hospital's commitment to providing timely and adequate care.

The lack of communication and transparency regarding wait times and priorities is deeply troubling. It's incomprehensible how a hospital could allow patients, particularly vulnerable infants, to languish for hours without any semblance of medical assistance or even acknowledgment of their presence.

This experience has shaken my trust in Lake of the Woods Hospital and has left me questioning the competence and compassion of its staff. I urge anyone considering seeking medical care at this facility to think twice and explore alternative options. No patient, especially not an innocent child, should ever be subjected to such neglect and indifference.

While I am grateful that as a Manitoban my husband was able to check himself in due to the inability to urinate, I am upset that he has contracted a BACTERIAL INFECTION due to the wrong size of catheter inserted into his body! We spent 24 hours in emergency care in our own city due to severe pain. Health care providers NEED to be AWARE of what they are doing!

This hospital
Is the biggest disgrace to an already disgraceful medical system in canada, complete and utter failure. The only thing that makes this worse is that in other parts of canada the staff are exceptional which makes up for canadian Healthcare experience. However at lotwdh the staff are downright rude, unprofessional, and completely negligent and incompetent. My wife is a travel nurse and has worked at hospitals across canada and told me that this by far the worse hospital she's seen. My dad has serious medical concerns, we came to this hospital and she helped out, the nurses didn't do proper blood work or labs, but of course she had purple hair and tattoos, basically fit the stereotype of incompenetence

Way to go lake of the woods hospital, even a nurse who has worked at many hospitals says this is the worst hospital in the country. What a great reputation for this degenerate town.

Had to make a visit to ER this weekend and I have to give a total shout out to staff and medical care givers. Understandably they reminded us constantly that they were busy and appreciated patience in that situation. Envisioning all that can happen in an emergency, matters were looked after very well. Yes we were hours in there - well - if you need to go there and it takes hours...that's where you need to be and surely if you escalate they are there for you. Knowing that hospitals across the nation and North America are under a lot of staffing pressures - KUDOS to the Lake of the Woods ER team for the service that they are able to provide to residents and visitors to the region. Thumbs up!

Our entire crew was here after a rollover accident. First of all the ambulance staff were great and got us there in a blink. The entire hospital staff was amazing and treated us so well! We were absolutely impressed with their respect and promptness of care. Dr. Raycraft was absolutely incredible and made us all feel like we were being taken care of by a real professional. She gave us the best possible care we could've recieved and made us all comfortable. She was unbelievably thorough and extremely kind to all of us. We all agreed this was the best hospital experience we had ever had, and there were 4 of us. Keep it up all of you! Hopefully, we won't be coming there again-- but if we do I know we will be well taken care of and you will too!!
