Helpful staff at the tourism centre. Cheerful too!

They have a large screen to show us the sights around. There are a few notable waterfalls nearby.

There are toilets in the building.

Parking is limited at the road side. Park nearby behind James Street.

Great place to know what to do around. They have a HSR Exposition for a short period of time.

Don't come here. Hamilton has much potential but is a dump thanks to the greedy, corrupt and increasingly incompetent city politicians. They have not paved the roads here for 30 years. It's just a sea of broken pavement that will break even the toughest vehicle and even set off your car's air bags. The city is now over run by homeless people. I have lived here 40 years, but I don't shop here anymore or visit restaurants and neither do my family or friends because the roads are now UNDRIVABLE! Hamilton has some nice scenic areas but now charge for parking and enforce it vigorously thus ruining the experience for all. Visit Burlington instead. They have nice roads, free parking on evenings and weekends and free EV charging. They make you feel welcome.

Edit: Hamilton is now repaving SOME roads. There is hope.

I recently visited Hamilton with 2 buddies from Alberta to enjoy the Grey Cup Festivities. Our first Grey Cup we went to was in 1996 in Hamilton so we have been to a few. Overall the whole experience was fantastic, it was well run, great entertainment and the local people were extremely engaging and fun.
Now for 2 negatives. Why oh why would the Football Hall of Fame be shut down over the whole time we were there we and a whole bunch of people from across Canada came to see this hall.
Second we stayed at the Premier Hotel and have never been treated so bad and ripped off as bad as they did to us. There was no towels, toilet paper, soap, cable, continental breakfast, and no maid service for 4 days. We booked for 5 days but was so disgusted with this hotel that we left after 4 days, they kept my last night for 2 rooms and my damage deposit which there was no damage.
If there is another place to complain about this hotel please let me know.

I think Hamilton is absolutely beautiful, however I feel your tourism completely dropped the ball. I cannot believe there was nothing to help tourists try to get around. Your claim is you have 154 waterfalls yet I only seen 1 sign to tell me where a falls was. I don’t recall there being anything mentioning the falls when I entered Hamilton There is absolutely no signs around to let us know where to go and there is very little or no parking at all( not to mention that at some we get charged to park and then told we’re limited on the time we can be there). If there is parking away from the falls we have no idea because there is nothing to tell us. I had 4 maps printed on the layouts of all of the waterfalls thinking it would help. Because there is no signs anywhere, absolutely nothing to say you have all of these beautiful falls all over your beautiful town, we were only able to see 4 falls. We had a GPS and the maps but when you’re driving around in circles trying to find the Falls first and then trying to find parking it’s extremely frustrating and you give up. There’s no stopping signs all over but you don’t mention the fact that you give a $250 ticket if they do stop and parking authority drives around in circles. Because there’s no parking you know that people are going to stop anyways and therefore you can give them the ticket. I feel like this is just a trap. I understand there may not be a lot of space to park but you do have parking in other places for some of the falls so why is there not any signage up to let us know. Also you’re a tourist town, you have a lot of people going there to see these beautiful falls why can’t you put some things out there to help, it’s not going away. You can thank sites like Narcity for that. I feel you could make a lot more money and have a much better set up than what you have. Extremely disappointing

wanted to go for a quick walk on a trail when I was driving past. I guess nature is no longer free was told I needed to book a reservation and pay, and all spots were booked. I can see the trail there is no body there just let me walk in nature. the future is so disgusting.
