Amanda at glow travel is very experienced and looked after our booking to Melia Costa Rey. All inclusive beach resort in Cayo Coco Cuba. Perfect for families, weddings and honeymoons.
The Level Adults only , an area of exclusive amenities and personalized services.
This resort is only 15 minutes from the airport.
We have been to this resort several times and it never disappoints.
The fantastic staff keep us coming back . The rooms are clean, and we had lots of hot water. The mini bar is stocked daily with beer, pop and water.
We had breakfast twice at the Gourmet restaurant. It is a relaxing time here with staff Yenny and Claudia
We were on the level side so we would grab a sandwich,fries and beer at the 24 hour snack bar for lunch.
We ate at the buffet for dinner most of the time. Lots of variety with pasta,beef, pork ,chicken and fish. You will never go hungry.
The resort has 3 a la carts you can book during your stay. I would recommend the French restaurant.
We would start our day with a spanish coffee in the main lobby area with Milsa
You will not be disappointed with your stay at this resort.

I had such a great experience working with Amanda in planning my destination wedding in Mexico in Decemeber 2024! She made organizing the trip for our 70 guests seamless! She was organized, sent great reminders and tips leading up to the event, hosted such a helpful information session with our guests, and everything went absolutely perfectly over the course of the trip! From the planning phase of deciding where to host the wedding, to getting everything sorted out for us and all our guests, Amanda made the planning experience enjoyable and stress free! We had a number of guests comment on how great the experience was working with Amanda too, which is always so nice to hear! She was also just an email or message away if we needed anything and was so patient with us as we tried to make every decision! Deciding to work with Amanda was one of the best decisions we made and we look forward to working with her in the future!

Our experience with Amanda and Aaron from Glow Travel for our destination wedding in Mexico (Aug 2022) was nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, they demonstrated exceptional organization, ensuring all 50 guests were well-informed about payment details, resort accommodations, and transportation logistics.

The shared folder system they implemented was genius, allowing us to easily track payments and verify information for room types and guest names. While there were occasional delays in responsiveness, an email clarified they were prioritizing groups traveling first, which made sense given the circumstances. It's important to note that we paid $500 for the agency to organize a trip, but they went above and beyond, handling communications with the resort, airlines, and acting as the main point of contact for the wedding.

Considering the uncertainties of traveling during COVID-19, Aaron's thoughtful initiative of creating a detailed PowerPoint presentation on safety protocols and tips was invaluable. He patiently addressed all our concerns, making the journey much less daunting for our 50-person group (both US & Canadian residents).

As a destination wedding bride, there were moments of anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. However, Amanda and Aaron always pulled through with a smile on their faces. Trusting the process was key, and they consistently delivered.

The highlight of our excursion, the Tulum Mayan Jungle Expedition, was a testament to their expertise. The delicious food and seamless accommodation for our entire group made it a memorable experience.

Planning a destination wedding isn't just about the wedding; it's about orchestrating a vacation for everyone else, too. While we understand the financial aspect of paying for a service, being involved in the process helped us appreciate the extensive planning involved.

We highly recommend Glow Travel for their outstanding service and personalized approach to group travel. Thank you, Amanda and Aaron, for making our special occasion truly magical.

I travel for business a lot and on this family vacation we decided to use Mandy. Her attention to details and knowledge of the location we went to was so helpful. We had issues with airlines both ways and instead of wasting my vacation time trying to get it sorted, emailed Mandy and she got it sorted for us. No brainer the next time we vacation. After a gathering with guests of our wedding, I was enlightened to the fact this company explicitly embarrassed us due to extensive inflicted grief on our guests.

This started with Aarons disorganization, sending a link with private info about another client to me in error(this happened 3x). I also had to find a hotel for us as he sent 3 options to start with no consideration to any of our requirements, blowing us off for over a week. Once I told him our choice, it took over a month to secure a contract, he always blamed Sunwing or the hotel and rarely responded to our inquiries, by the time he responded to us, the rates changed as he ignored us too long and we had to start from ground zero. It felt as if once we paid Glow, they stopped caring and putting effort into our booking.

I called Sunwing to confirm the details of our booking and to engage them on if their response time was as delayed as he said . They confirmed he did not contact them as frequently as he told us he did and did not put the requests in as he said. Aaron strung us along, forgot dates and requests and appeared to be severely inconvenienced if he has to do any additional work. How he had handled our parents, forgetting their requested room types and dates, not getting back to them and delivering quotes that did not match the original ones is unacceptable. A guest coming from Sweden reached out to him for assistance and he brushed his requests off and neglected to help him.

We requested he put us in touch with the hotel 3x since we hadn't yet confirmed our wedding date. He claimed the hotel "didn't get back to him". I reached out to our hotel after being frustrated by his lack of action & to confirm whether or not it was true that he tried to get in touch. The hotel had gotten back to us in less than 24hrs with a significant amount of important information pertaining to our wedding. He never delivered any of this information himself, it was the hotel who did so after I reached out. They also confirmed he had not reached out to them to get in touch with us. To see how long he would lie to us, I kept asking him to put us in touch with the hotel (even though I did so myself behind his back), he never ended up connecting us.

I had several conversations with Amanda about his professionalism and things had not changed . After weeks- months of frustration and having to baby sit the booking, I realized that Aaron neglected to secure a departure from YYJ - this was where my husband and I and most of our guests are leaving from. I pointed this out to Amanda and with no apologies she told us Sunwing doesn't leave from Victoria so we had to reprice the land and air portion separately or to travel to Vancouver to meet the booking. The price was now much higher and we were left having to find flights/transfers to Cancun for ourselves and our guests.

I was now predicting every mistake before it was happening, including us allocating some of the refund from our room block deposit to another guests booking. Amanda had confirmed this was going to be accurate and timely. She did move the funds to our guests booking on the eve of the payment deadline (after several email requests for confirmation) but she did so prior to confirming with Sunwing and forgot about this during the refund process resulting in Sunwing overpaying us and US having to pay THEM the refund back.

Amanda refused to apologize or acknowledge error and repeatedly gaslit us. Nothing was their fault, blame was placed on us despite being confronted with obvious evidence of incompetence and lying. I would also like to note, through this process several bad reviews popped up that were similar to what we were experiencing, followed by obviously fake good reviews to counter the negative ratings.

It was only after losing composure towards the end she offered any kind of compensation to us in the form of a room upgrade, which was already included in our package. An inadequate gesture in contrast to what they put us through. We are appalled and disgusted by Glow. Do not book with them.

We worked with Amanda at Glow Travel to organize our destination wedding, and she could not have made the process any easier! From the initial quoting process to booking travel, she walked us and our group through the steps with ease and clear communication. There was regular communication leading up to our departure and follow-up in destination as well. Much more than we could have ever expected from working with a travel company.

We could not have asked for an easier time or a better company to work with. We absolutely recommend them and would use them again!

I just want to start off saying, unless its a positive review, I never leave any negative reviews. However, I deemed it important for me to add our experience with this company.

My sister went through this company when booking her wedding in Mexico just recently. I was happy to learn that everything would be taken care of to mitigate any travel stress, as we have done this with another wedding where flights, hotels, etc were all booked and we just showed up. Boy were we wrong.

Unless your idea of travel agency means they will make you book your flights, they will place you in various areas of the resort (when we all booked in with a group), and make excuses (like placing blame on the hotel or natural disasters) to try to hide away from their incompetence. We dealt with so much frustration and stress and hands down we would have saved time, money and our sanity if this company weren’t involved. And when talking to other wedding guests that travelled, they shared the same frustrations. The bride and groom dealt with so much unnecessary stress because of this incompetence.

I hopes no one wastes their hard earned money on this “travel agency.”

Amanda and her team did an amazing job helping us plan our destination wedding in Mexico! In the weeks leading up to our trip, and even for the duration of our stay, she was constantly checking in to make sure us and our guests were taken care of and ready for an unforgettable vacation.
