Noisy out dated, overpriced. Not worth half what they charge. One of the guys found a bedbug in his room and our whole crew moved out. Not paying for the misery that they put guests in. It’s a shame hotel owners have lost the sense of customer service and actually welcome people into dumps like this, makes a person wonder if anyone inspects these places. Smoke detectors don’t work, cleaning staff look like they are illegal workers and lazy as hell.

This is the 3rd time we stayed at the hotel. The first time we stayed in the honeymoon suite. It had a hot tub in the room, a fireplace, and a mini kitchen. It was great. This time traveling North and back we stayed in a room that accepted dogs. It was great. It was a nicely tiled floor. It was nice and clean and cool. The dogs loved the cool tiles. The staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely use this hotel everyone we are on Peace River. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our initial experience started with the warm greeting of the receptionist and a full ceiling of foliage. Great oxygen!
The rooms were huge with a warm fireplace which seems standard with all rooms? What a treat!
The television was a little small but that's nothing to sneeze at. The beds were comfortable and firm. Each room had a coffee machine on a table big enough for two people. If you had any leftovers from the night before they could be stored in a full fridge. Wow!
In addition there were two comfortable chairs sandwiching a table near the fireplace. Perfect for a game of cribbage!
I would reccomend this hotel to anyone travelling through the mighty peaceful valley.
The only downside was they did not serve a breakfast, but the price of these rooms was totally worth an off site breakky. Cant wait to come back and have 30 beers at the iron bridge and maybe get a haircut!

My fiancé was staying here for work April 5th to today April 10th and he was bitten by bedbugs!! He found some in his room, got moved to a different room, literally only across the hall, was given a spray for his things and still made him pay for his stay!! Disgusting place, horrible service. They didn’t even apologize, simply said “It’s that time of the year” what?!?! Do not stay here. He would have switched hotels but the whole crew was there so he didn’t have an option. Another guy on his crew had bed bugs in his room a time before too!

I can’t believe they made him pay for his stay after giving him bed bugs!

I booked a room at the Western Budget Motel in Peace River at around 10 p.m. having evacuated the Northwest Territories due to fire. They kept the reception open 20 minutes later than usual for me, with my arrival at 11:20 p.m. The room was excellent for the price, and the bed provided the great sleep I desperately needed. I e-mailed the manager two weeks later, after I lost the receipt for my stay, and received a response with the requested receipt within an hour.

THIS PLACE HAS BEDBUGS AND IS DISGUSTING. Do not listen to the front desk if they tell you they don’t have bed bugs and make up a story about a dog. I stayed here April 21-24 2024, and brought home bed bugs. They do not clean, vacuum nor wash the bedding. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Really enjoyed having a kitchen, which was well stocked, except forks. Maybe someone lifted them, but there were plenty of spoons, and no forks. Front desk staff got me some. There are no microwaves in the room to reheat the food you cook in your room, but there is a microwave to share in the lobby.
Door keys /swipe card was a bit finicky, but I got the feel for it after a couple days. I didn't complain /address the issue with staff, so no blame intended.
Guest laundry worked fine, and the facility was clean overall.
A bit more detail could go into vaccumming in the rooms.
The bedspread could use an upgrade as they are quite dated, and coworkers took them off.
Everyone said staff were great.
Grocery store and gas station right next door was handy.
I did not go to the restaurant, but my co worker said they had really good wings.
I felt the value for the price paid was very good
