I'm a financial advisor in Calgary and I routinely have greatway advisors trying to attend our seminars that are for the public. I'm not sure if their advisors are just not well trained and that their management is instructing them to go to other advisors seminars but its really unprofessional. If their advisors still need training and are coming to seminars they probably shouldn't be giving advice 🙂
