What a fun day! We arrived to the dog coming out to greet us. She tried to get in the drivers seat with me 😂. Horses were ready when we arrived, had a lovely ride through some beautiful bush. After we brushed our horses we met some cuddly donkeys and a grumpy pig. All the horses are calm and beautiful. You can tell they are well loved and taken care of. Amara is lovely and easy to communicate with when booking. We had to reschedule once as I got quiet sick. She made the whole process easy. I highly recommend Leaning Tree. It was a great little get away from the city at a super reasonable price. We will be back next season, I'm sure!

Amazing!!! My sister and I recently had the pleasure of partnering with Leaning Tree Trail Rides on a mini getaway, we drove in from Edmonton, and it was an unforgettable experience!
Amara and Shawn are incredibly warm and welcoming, have such a calm atmosphere that made us feel at ease right away! Their passion for horses and teaching truly shines through in every interaction. The trails were stunning, peaceful views and a perfect mix of terrain that my horse Tucker really took advantage of and threw in a few trots. My sis rode Major and he is the most gentle horse ever! I had such a great interaction with the doggies that are so playful -Diesel especially.
What I loved most was how Amara and Shawn gave such supportive guidance that. made it easy to gain confidence in the saddle.
I highly recommend Leaning Tree Trail Rides to anyone looking for a fun, memorable riding experience. We spent some time with the other animals: hens, donkeys and some other horses that are so magnificent as well. What a lovely farm this is! You will absolutely have a grand time! We can’t wait to come back!

Had an OUTSTANDING experience here. Communication was fast and friendly and our hosts were a DREAM! Super friendly and accommodating. The horses are beautiful, and well taken care of, you can tell Shawn and Amara really care about their animals and their place. And the ride was beautiful, the land is stunning. And the rest of the animals are very friendly as well. All of us had an amazing time and are planning to go back.

If you are looking for a fun and relaxing trail ride, Leaning Tree is the place to go!

Located less than two hours from Edmonton, Leaning Tree is within easy reach and is a great weekend activity. The trail ride my wife and I went on was relaxing and very enjoyable. The trails were beautiful and peaceful.

The owners, Amara and Shawn, are wonderful people and were great to chat with. They clearly have a passion for horses and it shows in the way they talk about and handle their horses. Amara and Shawn also have two dogs who follow you on your trail ride and they are beyond friendly. Be sure to give them lots of pets!

My wife and I look forward to returning again in the future. Leaning Tree Trail Rides is a real gem.

Awesome place to be! They are amazing and the horses are excellently trained! Took my daughter for her birthday, Shawn and Amara were more than welcoming. The trails are fun and gorgeous too. Shawn even let my daughter ride without a lead and directed her with care, Major was an amazing horse for her. They even let her brush the horse afterward and showed her around to see the other horses too, she will not stop talking about this place!

My boyfriend and I came here and had a wonderful time! The horses were extremely well trained so we simply relaxed and enjoyed the ride. The owners, Amara and Shawn, came with us on the ride and we loved chatting with them and learning about their horses. They were extremely welcoming and changed our booking when it was scheduled to rain to a nicer day. They also had two lovely dogs who greeted us upon arrival and some other nice farmyard animals to check out(donkeys, pony, chickens, pig).

My friend brought me here for my birthday and let me tell you it was start to finish an amazing a wholesome experience! We were met at the gate with an extremely warm welcome by Penny and Nicki the resident guard dogs, Amara and Sean were already ready for us with the horses. We got the pleasure of taking Major and Jack on a ride through the property, having pleasant conversations with Amara and Sean all the while. When we got back we were allowed to help with removing the tack and brushing the horses, we then got to go meet the rest of the animals. Buddy the Donkey and I became fast friends!

This was am amazing birthday gift and a wonderful way to spend a morning. Thank you to Leaning Tree Trail Rides for your kindness, professionalism and an experience we won't soon forget.

If you are considering scheduling a ride, do it now!! A trail ride with Amara and Shawn was the perfect way to get away from city life and enjoy the beautiful trails around their property. The horses are beautiful and impeccably trained. Each has their own personality which shines through during the hour ride. The trails are insanely peaceful, the air is so fresh and my only wish is that we booked 2 more hours! Thank you Amara & Shawn for a great morning - we'll be back soon!
