I was in an accident last summer and it was nothing but a nightmare situation. I took my vehicle to Fix it Auto in Drayton Valley to get an estimate on repairs, it was months of frustration and lack of communication on their part. I followed up multiple times and told they couldn't tell me anything that I had to talk to insurance etc, when this wasn't the case...
Once the quote came through it was astronomical in price that insurance then deemed it a write off. I had multiple people tell me by just looking at our truck there was no way those repairs needed to be done, including the tow truck driver who towed it from the accident site.
There was even repairs that actually needed to be done that wasn't included on the estimate!!
Once mentioned I was taking the truck from there and getting a second opinion, they absolutely freaked out yelling and saying they weren't releasing my truck until insurance paid them. My insurance said that was fine and payment was on the way and they've never had an auto body place hold a vehicle hostage until payment was in their hands. The owner was even yelling at our adjuster, totally unprofessional!
I guess that's what happens when you're out to make money on false claims and don't get to follow through, I ended up taking my vehicle elsewhere in town, having it repaired no problem for way less then half the price they stated it would cost to fix my truck.
What a scam!

my car has been sitting for more than 3 months
in the end I took it and the guys didn’t finish their work and didn’t return the money or even offer it
they gave me back a dirty car and said that it had been polished
They didn’t call me the whole time, and when I arrived, they said that they had rescheduled the appointment.

of the paid $5000 work
they only replaced the mirror (installing it incorrectly)
and painted the rear bumper (it remained dirty and stained)
this is a scam and not a service

Years ago I took my personal vehicle there for repair, they lied to me about the work being done and how they're working on it at the moment.
I went in there demanding it back because I knew it was still in their holding compound with the road salt sitting on it after they've had it for months.
I then took it to a reliable shop in spruce Grove (not a fix auto franchise)

Fast forward to a month ago,
After a collision with a different truck, I went to fix auto for a quote for insurance.
Not only it tooks days, they won't release you a quote apon request, said "your insurance will have the number, we don't give it out". Such BS.

AGAIN, TOOK IT TO THE SAME AUTO BODY TEC IN SPRUCE GROVE. quote done in minutes, and truck was done in the time frame they promised.

stay far away from fix auto DV Unless you're looking for bad service and headaches

My vehicle was brought to your Drayton Valley location on January 21, 2024. The first estimate I received was $16,950 on February 14. Feeling that this estimate was unfair, I consulted my insurance company, which subsequently reduced the estimate to $9k on February 23. Despite my concerns, I decided to trust your service and proceeded with the repairs at your location.

The communication from the team has been inconsistent and frustrating. On March 27, I received an update indicating that my car would be ready by March 30. This date was then pushed to May 10, then to May 31.
They then found my cooler leakage half a year later the vehicle was driven into the shop…after all that time.
I have since received 8 more emails, each with a new expected completion date, the latest being July 19... (today is Jul 21) However, I have just been informed that the car is still awaiting parts.

This prolonged delay has caused significant inconvenience and financial strain. I have had to continue paying for my insurance throughout this period due to the repeated inaccurate due dates and ongoing delays.

It has now been half a year, and my car is still not ready. This level of service is unacceptable, and I urge you to address this matter promptly.

They Take too long at jobs that aren't supposed to take as long as they make it seem and they are liars. how long does it take to paint a few parts? Few hours maybe a day I would say but for "fix auto Drayton Valley" it take them almost 2 months. Not only that but if you're fixing your car from insurance claim you better not try to ask quiestion on why it's taking so long. They will contact your insurance, lie to them saying that you're harassing and threatening their employees

This place is EXCEPTIONAL. ESP the staff.. I run a roofing buiesness. So I understand what it takes to stand out from the rest. These guys give updates VIA email with your progress percent plus complete date. Their front desk staff were always polite and helpful, efficient with answering my questions. Their technicians did an amazing job fixing all the body work and painting. Their manager even met me on the weekend to return my truck!! So very thankful . And very impressed.

I dropped off my truck for insurance repairs. I gave them a copy of my credit card for the rental, it was the first time I've used the card in 4 months. That night there was purchases from etsy.com. I had to cancel my credit card. The rental was through Hertz and when I called Tanvir I was told that the card number had been stolen on my end as they do not keep credit card number on file after the deposit is taken, he was not helpful.

While my truck was in the shop someone backed into it and my bumper and tail gate had to be replace. It also got a unrepairable flat tire and they replaced it with one that does not match the other tires. After it came back from the tire shop the truck no longer started and I had to get it towed to dodge at my own expense to have it diagnosed. I had to pay for a new shifter.

Through the repair process I was not informed of any of the mishaps until the repairs were completed and I had to return the rental and get my truck towed away as it no longer was drivable. Now I've had to pay a significant money out of pocket just to make my truck driveable and it has mismatched tires.

I regret choosing fix auto for my repairs.
