We booked online with Groupon (much cheaper) so we can’t speak for the service. But the Canmore Smuggler’s Blues was great! The two of us took our newborn twins and took about 3 hours to tour around Canmore. The walk was beautiful and easy, and the clues were pretty easy to solve for newbies. We will definitely do it again and try a little bit tougher of a scavenger hunt.

Took part in this tour in Calgary this weekend and had a blast! We are locals, so some of the clues were very easy, but it will still a lot of fun. A really unique way to spend the day. I would recommend it to anyone - and to any businesses that are thinking of taking part, its definitely a worth it. Without giving away any answers...we enjoyed food, drinks and shopping at many stops. We ran into one snafu...but the contact from the company was just a text away and was able to assist us instantly. Very impressed.

Loved the Edmonton downtown detectives clue solving. If I could do it again I would give myself 4.5hrs so I could stop for beverages and nibbles along the way. It took us 3hrs with some technical glitches. Great effort was made to make the clues a challenge. Loved the afternoon seeing things in the city I didn’t know existed. Probably better on the weekend so paid parking is not expensive. Great fun! Would do it again.

I don't know about other people's experience doing the Suggler's Blues, in Canmore but for $56 we expected different. A bit expensive since all you are using is the app. My group felt it was also inaccurately advertised as far as length of time it would take. We set out after lunch around 2pm and by 330/345pm we were only on Clue 10 and running out of steam. While we expected a walk, we also expected to learn more about Canmore's smuggling history. It would have been nice to involve some of the restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Maybe next time I will try the home version.

Wow! It was so much fun! We did the Victoria downtown tour. We definitely got some questions wrong, but all in all it was an amazing time and well worth it. It took us about 1.5 hours in total, but with all of the time penalties our "time" was 7 hours. Ha! Hopefully next time we will do a little better. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 6 doing the Calgary tour, and were so impressed! The clues are tough but fair, and all contact that we had with the company was great - the whole thing was so much fun. A few of our group were actually dreading the day, and ended up so enthuisiastic. Well worth the money.

Attempted the Canmore smugglers one. Pricey for following an app with poor and unclear clues. We only got through half the sites in about 2 hours before quitting (and we are speedy walkers). Not good for tourists who don’t know the town (some clues definitely required it) or who don’t want detours through residential streets and alleys.

This is a great team building activity or fun for people who like the locked room theme with a bigger room. I am from Calgary and learned some things about the city from the tour and had a great time doing it. We went on a gloomy day and still managed to have a unique experience with lasting memories . Try it. Take 4 people...you will need them!
